I get sweet emails from so many of you asking questions like, “Did I do that right?” or “I want to make sure you get credit, how do I do that?” I love that you care enough to ask, truly. So I wanted to put everything in one simple place that answers the questions I hear most.

It takes you straight to the store’s own website, the same Nordstrom, Chico’s, or Land’s End site you’d end up on if you typed the address in yourself. You are shopping directly with them, not with me. I’m simply the friend who pointed you toward the item.

Do You See My Credit Card Information?

No, never. I don’t see it, I don’t store it, and I don’t have access to it in any way. You’ll type your payment information into the store’s own secure checkout, exactly like you would if you walked in the door and typed it into their in-store system, or called their customer service line. Nothing about the safety of your information changes because you clicked my link first.

Will I Need to Return It to You?

No. If something doesn’t work out, your return goes straight back to the store where you purchased it, following their normal return policy. I never handle returns, exchanges, or shipping of any kind. Think of me as pointing you toward the front door of the store. What happens once you’re inside is entirely between you and them.

Does It Cost Me Anything Extra?

Not a penny. The price you see is the exact same price you’d pay walking in cold. When you shop through my link, the store simply pays me a small thank-you for sending them a customer, and that comes out of their marketing budget, not your wallet.

How Do I Find Your Links in a Post?

My links are always in bold type and highlighted in blue, like these healthy aging Clean Towels . If you see a phrase like this, it’s clickable. Just tap or click right on the blue, bold words, and it will take you straight to that item.

What If I’d Rather Try It On in the Store First?

That’s perfectly fine. Fabric and fit are personal, and I understand wanting to feel something in your hands before you commit. If that’s your routine, click my link first just to see the item and note what it’s called, then head to the store to try it on. If you love it, you can always come home and complete your purchase through my link. Some of you have told me you even pull up my blog post on your phone while standing in the fitting room, which I love.

No hard feelings, truly. I’m simply glad you found something you love. Reading my posts gives me ad dollars, and every little bit adds up and helps keep this blog going.

Thank You

So many of you have taken the time to email and double-check that a purchase “counted.” It means more than you know. This blog runs because of readers like you, and every click, every code, and every purchase made through a link helps keep the lights on here at 50 Is Not Old. Thank you for caring enough to ask.
