A COAT OF MANY COLORS IS PERFECT FOR SPRING

Let me see a show of hands for all of you who immediately thought of the song, Coat of Many Colors, by Dolly Parton. If you didn’t think of Dolly’s song, then you probably thought of Joseph and his coat of many colors. It is funny, both of those coats were given to them by a parent. The mother made Dolly’s coat, and Joseph’s coat was by his father. Both of the coats were dearly loved.

My mother or my father did NOT make my coat of many colors. In fact, it is not even a coat; it is a sweater cardigan. As soon as I saw this cardigan, I knew that I had to order it. It was so colorful, and just looking at the coat made me smile. I figured that since it had so many colors, I could surely find something to match it.

I think that this cardigan would look fantastic with a column of black, but since I wore so much black last week, I decided to go all-out color for today’s look. This plaid boyfriend cardigan is slightly oversized. I am wearing a medium, and it is still a tiny bit large on me. This cardigan is sure to draw lots of attention and compliments, so throwback your shoulders and get your “thank you’s” ready.

Because I didn’t want to add my black turtleneck, I went with my ivory cashmere turtleneck instead. You can never go wrong with a natural top, especially if you already have a statement piece of clothing in your outfit. You don’t want two items competing for attention; you have to have supporting items also.

This cashmere turtleneck is almost completely sold out; there are only a few sizes left. So, I’ll try and find some other similar looks for you.

Here is a better up-close view of the cardigan, and you can see the “mohair” look of the material. It is very soft and cozy. The jewelry is a mix of metals. I have on a couple of new items today, such as these medium-sized Josie hoops. These nubby hoops come in four different styles, and I am wearing the goldtone ones.

The other items that I have on are both with mixed metals. I love mixing gold and silver, even though that was a no-no when I was growing up. The large statement Ryder necklace and the new Brylee Chain bracelet make mixing your metals easy. Both of these have mixed metals, and they also have mixed chains and links.

I love the cobalt color of these high waist jeans! These are unusual jeans, with a high waist 2 button closure and straight leg style. The inseam on these jeans is 27 1/2″, which hit me right at my ankle bone. I am 5’6″ for sizing reference. I really like the way these fit, except I think they are the tiniest bit big on me. I ordered a size 10 in these, but I might have sized down. If you are unsure, order your regular size and the next size down, then send back the one you don’t want.

The white boot trend is hot this year, and I expect that white loafers, etc., will be hot for spring and summer. I have a pair of white ankle boots that I LOVE, but I ordered this pair from Target to show all of you since the price point was affordable. However, they are completely sold out, which bums me out. I ordered my usual size 9, and they fit me fine. It looks like I am off to the drawing board again to see if I can find another affordable pair of white(ish) ankle boots for you.

I didn’t even mention the Superbowl. I write the blog post the night before the post goes live, so the game hasn’t started as I write this. I was reading earlier today about how the commercials might look different this year because of COVID. That has me intrigued to see if I can even see the difference. Be sure to comment below which commercial ended up being your favorite.

I’ve been trying to mention my favorite R+F products recently because I get asked multiple times a day about my skincare and makeup. People are floored when I say that I am 60, and they immediately want to know what I use. I got a message yesterday wanting to know the best “procedure” to look better. My answer…NONE!!! Everyone wants the miracle pill, the drive-through version, and the best thing you can do is to use high-quality skincare and do it consistently!

I hope that you love what you already use, but if not, then try mine. It is clinically tested, it is guaranteed to give you results, and I am visible proof that when used in the right way, consistently, you will get the best skin of your like.

Take the solutions tool. It takes 2-3 minutes, and it will give you a “recommendation.” You can order everything, although most people will pick the items that they think will work best for them. Let me get you started by paying your one-time enrollment fee of $19.95.

I look forward to all your post! Some of the clothes I have purchased and would love to buy more but on a teacher’s salary it’s impossible. Anyway you could incorporate lookalikes that might be cheaper?

Love this outfit and the cardigan of many colors is so pretty. I like a colorful statement piece. I have a long torso so high waisted jeans actually fit me where most people’s regular jeans do. LOL I’m not a sports fan so no super bowl for me.

The first thing I thought to myself when I opened your blog this morning was, “Wow, Tanya looks fantastic in those jeans!” I don’t think you need a smaller size at all. The fit on these is perfect, and SO flattering. Such a fun cardigan, too.

The bright colors look great on you! I just ordered some white boots but didn’t know I was going to be trending this year so glad to hear that!

I watched the Super Bowl too but none of the commercials really appealed to me. I wanted to see a Clydesdale and puppy 🙂

I did watch the Super Bowl yesterday. Several good commercials. One that stood out to me was the paramount company ones. There was several and set up in story format.

I glanced at the Superbowl while it was on, but didn’t actually watch much of it. I didn’t see any of the commercials, which I usually look forward to watching.
