White after Labor Day

You don’t wear white before Memorial Day and never after Labor Day. That is the fashion rule that I grew up hearing and abiding by for as long as I can remember.  There are many reasons this “rule” started, however, they no longer exist. It is no longer taboo to wear white after Labor Day, in fact it is down right fashionable.

It all starts somewhere

Is age really just a number?  Does it matter that we are slowly creeping toward sixty or maybe even seventy?  I firmly believe you are only as old as you act.  While that may not change the actual number of years you have lived on this planet, it will change the way in which you have lived those years.  I am sure my life here in small town Virginia is very different from some one of my age living in the bright city lights, does that make either life better?  I have found myself looking for my passion.  What do I love?  What would I do if I had all the money I would ever want?  Would I travel, would I paint all day, or would I simply go shopping day after day?  The truth is, I DON’T KNOW!!!  That leads me to this blog.  I decided to blog, not because I think I have a unique perspective, but because I am trying to find my perspective.  So bear with me as I ramble about being over weight, having hot flashes, putting on makeup with the pitfalls of wrinkles, and finding clothes that don’t scream nursing home or hoochie mama.
