I decided to take a quick trip out of the house, and it was soo good to feel the sun on my face. It was still chilly in the shade, though, so I didn’t linger too long. This short outing called for something more casual since I didn’t have any place fancy to go to. So, come along and join me as I stroll around town.
Not only is this outfit casual, but it is also modern and youthful-looking. This look doesn’t say, “I’m trying to look like my teenage daughter.” Instead, this outfit says, “I am youthful and vibrant; I just happen to be older than a teenager.” You won’t find any belly shirts or short-shorts on this blog so that you can breathe a sigh of relief. You might find distressed jeans; in fact, you can pretty much BET on finding me in distressed jeans a lot of the time. Lol!
The minute that I saw this collared v-neck sweater (polo sweater), I thought about Easter. Am I the only one that this Lavender color reminds them of an Easter Egg? I have become a huge fan of the collared sweater, and I’ve seen many of them in the stores this year. They look casual and classy at the same time, and I like that combination.
The sweater has a relaxed fit and drop shoulders, so I ordered a medium since I knew it wouldn’t be tight-fitting. The sweater doesn’t look oversized or boxy because of the ribbed band at the waist. The sweater also comes in a spice color which is almost the same color as my handbag.
The jewelry that I am wearing today is a mix of metals. I am wearing my small Maggie silver hoops, which are a perfect size for almost everyone. My horizontal cross and Shine script necklace that I wear almost every day are nestled perfectly in the v of the collar. Finally, I added my mixed metal chain Brylee bracelet that features a magnetic closure for easy on and off.
The camel leather tote is so soft and subtle. It is a perfect medium-sized handbag, and that seems to be the size that I prefer these days. I know there is a trend to go toward mini-sized bags, but I can’t go that small yet. My cellphone case is a wallet, so if I am going to go mini, it will just be my phone wallet.
I like that this bag has two separate compartments, which I prefer over a bucket bag style. I like to have a lot of different pockets and zip compartments to puts things.
See, I haven’t given up completely on skinny jeans! Evidently, others aren’t giving up either because these jeans have already sold out. These are from Loft, and they have several others that are very similar, so I’ll link to those for you. Mine has a little distressing and a frayed hem. I am wearing my usual size 30 in these jeans, and they are true to size.
My Tory Burch Minnie ballet flats are several years old, but they are something that I will wear for years to come. Tory Burch is a well-known name that equals quality and style so that these flats will be just as popular next year also. The neutral color is perfect for wearing with almost anything, so that is another reason that I’ll get a lot of wear from them. I am wearing my usual size 9 in them.
There are only TWO days left in my “BECOME MY CUSTOMER” incentive. I am passionate about helping you look the best you can in fashion and with your skin. After years of trying drug-store and department store skincare, I stumbled upon Rodan and Fields, and it was the ONLY skincare that actually gave me visible results. Don’t believe me? Look back to this post that I did when I first started blogging back in 2015. THANK YOU, R+F!!!
I notice the most in that post from 2015: the hooded eyes, the lack of eyelashes, and the dull-looking skin. How To Order:
This is the last week for me to celebrate Joe’s Birthday. He told me that I couldn’t make a big deal out of his birthday. I don’t think that announcing for the entire world to see is making a big deal. Lol! So, randomly, each week, I am going to pick a winner for a gift. The gifts will vary in size and price, and I will pick the winner from the comments that I receive during the week.
This week’s winner is…..Vicki!!! Keep commenting, and you might be next week’s winner.

Really classy look Tania! Love your posts. I joined R&F PC perks and purchased the lash boost. So excited. Deborah
I am excited also, Deborah! You do NOT apply much product at all. Only put the smallest amount on like an eyeliner, let it dry, and then head to bed.
Definitely cute and casual… Sweaters are a bit warm for me now, but the style and color are great!
😊 This outfit is very flattering on you, perfect spring outfit!
I love skinny jeans the best still, most flattering!
Easter blessings Tania 🌷🌷🌷
Cute! Fresh! Spring! Love it!
Pastels always remind me of Easter. Very nice look.
I like your clothes combinations and your scripture verses. Thanks for the upbeat notes to my in-basket! Enjoy the weekend.
That sweater is perfection. Love any shade of lavender and purple. I’ve been eyeing the Maggie earrings for some time now. They seem to be a perfect size. Thanks for all of the great tips.
So cute! Love the style of the sweater
This is definitely my kind of outfit. I am a “casual” dresser most of the time. A person can look good and still be totally comfortable.
Lavender is a great color – Easter or not…😉
You look great! But I’m wondering about frayed bottom pants. Am I the only person who found they tickled my ankles? I have one pair and they feel like bugs are walking on my ankles so I cuff them.
Those shoes have been on my radar for a long time. I ended up with the Sam Edelman ballets in a similar color. I love the color with almost every pant.
Love this upscale casual look. I would wear an outfit like this on repeat!
I love that sweater, and super LOVE the v-neck. Harder to find than crew neck styles.
Love the outfit and still loving the blog after all these years! I had been eyeing the Chico’s bag and after seeing it “in person” I ordered right away. Thanks for a wonderful blog that we stylish, young-spirited older ladies can enjoy!
I really like your look for today especially the flats.
What do you use for your cellphone case/wallet that you mention? I am going for smaller purses, and I am thinking that I could use something like this rather than the wallet I have (which I love).
I love Loft jeans. I think most of mine are from Loft. These look great on you.
You look so good…I can tell you have lost weight.
I’ve been looking for a camel tote, and there it was on your blog. I ordered it immediately. Thanks!
You look gorgeous, as always, Tanya!
Love this outfit.
Love this outfit it’s totally something that I would wear. Happy Easter 🐣
Love, love the sweater! This is totally a me look. I hope you and your family have a Happy Easter ❤️🇨🇦
Love the purple top!! That color also looks fabulous on you!
Love the simplicity of the outfit. Sometimes less is more! Love the Lilac color! Hope you have a blessed Easter!
A simple outfit is usually the best!
Love the sweater style and color. I like those jeans also. I dress casual most days so this outfit would be perfect. I asked my hubby what he thought of me buying shoes that cost $228 and he gave me the death stare, so I guess that answered my question!! LOL I do love those shoes though.
Lol! That is so funny. Joe has no idea what I spend, and I like it that way. Hahaha
Very cute outfit for spring and the lavender sweater looks great on you!
Thanks, Janice! I loved this color.
Glad you got out and about. Love the color and the collar. Makes the perfect V on anyone.
YES! The “v” is so flattering! I don’t know why they don’t make more tops with a v-neck.
The perfect outfit!
Thanks, Stacey!
I love everything about that sweater..especially the collar and I’m so glad to hear that you are seeing a lot of this style. I love wearing a collar and they are usually hard to find. That lavender is such a pretty color.
Sandy, I bought a winter white one of these sweaters also, and I can’t wait to try it on to see how it fits.
maybe next time you do a post on bags, we could see the inside of some? you look great !
Yikes. My bag usually looks like a mess. Maybe I will show what the website shows instead. Lol!
That is a color that I feel looks good on most ladies. Nice look.
I agree, Kathy. This is a gorgeous, soft shade of purple.
This color reminds me of easter too.
Love this look for running erands.
I can’t believe this month is already over. But ready for warmer weather.
It is hard to believe that March went sooo fast.
Love this look!! Boo- the top in my size is sold out🙁. Very classy and comfortable style!
BOOOOOO! Oh well, I’m sure that I’ll find something else for you to buy real soon. Lol!
