Cue the Willie Nelson song; “On the road again!” Yep, I am once again traveling, this time I am headed to Tennessee. I am going back home to celebrate the birthdays of my three grandchildren who live there. They usually have the party later in the month, but other activities were already scheduled. So, they adapted and overcame the problem by changing the date to this weekend.
Even though it is early in the month, it is still going to be a Halloween themed party. I wasn’t sure until the last minute that I was going to be able to attend, so I don’t have a costume. My daughter (Halloween nut) has a ton of ideas, but we don’t have much time to put her ideas into action. She wants to dress me up like Te Fiti. I had no idea who Te Fiti was, but she is a cartoon character from a Disney movie named Moana. She is a Goddess (that’s good), and she is entirely green. (that’s not good) Lol! Here is the picture of Te Fiti that she sent me to show what I am supposed to look like. This is going to be interesting. Lol! Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see the fun unfold in my stories.
We are supposed to have a few days of cooler weather heading our way, and I am crossing my fingers that it comes. I have several new clothes for fall, but it has been so hot that I can’t even wear them. I am pretty much out of clothes to show you for warmer temperatures, and I know that you don’t want to be buying hot weather clothes. This top is newer, and even though it is sleeveless, I bought it to wear in the fall and winter. I plan on wearing this under jackets and cardigans, but I can also wear it by itself. The cowl neckline reminds me of fall and winter, though. The top is lightweight and has a marbled look. The top is a blend of rayon, polyester, and spandex, and it is machine washable. I was afraid that it might be clingy, so I ordered a large, and I like the way the top fits. This is by Lou and Grey from Loft. Here is the link to the top; it will a great layering item.
Deep wine/burgundy is one of my favorite colors for fall. I love the deep jewel tones that are associated with that time of the year. Deep golds, teals, wines, and browns can all mix and match with each other, so feel free to experiment. Even though the wine of the shoes is a lighter shade than the pants, they still work with the look.
I have been using the newest regimen that just launched while I was in Nashville. I wanted to use it for a few weeks before I mentioned it to everyone. It is called Recharge, and it is for people who had previously not fit into any of the four main skin concerns. People who don’t have acne, sensitive skin, lots of wrinkles, or sun damage, but still want to take care of their skin now have a Regimen for them. I liked the fact that step 1 in this 3-step regimen is a 3-n-1 cleanser that removes makeup as well as dirt and oil. It is a gel that becomes cream, and it feels so smooth and luxurious on your face. Step 2 is a moisturizer, and Step 3 is a sunscreen that is also a primer that blurs. I still need to use my Redefine and Reverse regimens, but I am going to continue to incorporate this regimen into my routine. Here is the link to the product if you would like to read more about what it does. PLUS, anyone who decides to try this regimen today and tomorrow will receive an extra 15% discount from me.
