I was thrilled with everyone’s comments on yesterday’s post? It was a blast working with little Miss Emersyn on our mommy and me outfits. At first, she was excited about doing the post, but then the child in her came out, and she wanted to play instead of putting on a dress. I coaxed and pleaded until she finally got dressed and then she was okay. She posed and smiled so sweet that I was almost shocked at how easily the session went. And then…..
I didn’t go through the entire bag that I had gotten from Dress Barn when it came. Instead, I reached in and grabbed the dresses while I crossed my fingers that they would fit. I didn’t remember picking out the cute I Love You duo necklace, so I took pictures with us wearing different necklaces. Emersyn had already put her play clothes back on when I found the duo necklaces, and she was none too happy when I told her that we had to take the pictures all over again. Lol! You sure couldn’t tell from the pictures, but she was not a happy camper for the second shoot. I think that I am going to try and talk her mommy into getting Emersyn her own blog where she could style children’s clothing. That would be a fantastic thing for her, so help me come up with a name for the blog. In case you were wondering, here is a photo of the other necklaces that we wore. Both of our necklaces are discontinued from Plunder, but any pearl necklace would work for this look.
When you carry your weight in your mid-section, you get good at finding items that will camouflage that area. I thought that the tie-front top would draw attention to my mid-section, but what it does is create a slimming effect with the pulling of the material. The material is pulled inward, so your eye is drawn inward, which makes your waist seem smaller, and the v-neckline helps too. How weird is that? I am trying to watch what I eat, and I have started walking some, but until my waist shrinks, I will be using clothing to create the desired look. This top is in twilight blue, but it also comes in black and lavender. The top is machine washable, and I am wearing a size medium which fits perfectly. Here is the link to the top.
The earrings, necklace, and bracelet are all part of the new spring and summer line from Plunder. The earrings are Taelynn, and they are both gold and silver. I love the design of these earrings, but I have no idea what it is called. The necklace is the Zara. I like the silver lariat style of this necklace. You thread the link through the circle to create the look. It is super easy to put one since there are no clasps involved. And, my silver link bracelet is the MadiJeanne. I wear two other silver bracelets daily on my other arm, but they are from Tiffany & Co. Here is the bead bracelet and here is the cuff. The medallion print shorts are the perfect length. These have a 7″ inseam, so they are the baby bear of shorts. They are not too long, or not too short; they are just right. Lol! These are a twill material with 2% spandex to help them fit comfortably. Plus, as a bonus, they are machine washable. I am wearing my usual size 10, and they fit true to size. Here is the link to these medallion print shorts.
