I woke up to gorgeous sunshine and beautiful blue skies this morning! I can’t wait to slather sunscreen on and hit the beach. When I was in Mexico a couple of weeks, I put on plenty of SPF 30 and the dang stuff works so well, that I got NO sun. So, while I am here in Florida, I am going to try sitting in the sun for 15 minutes before I apply the sunscreen. Hopefully, I will get a tiny bit of tan, but until then, I applied lots of sunless tanners.
I might look like I have a nice tan, but it is all from a bottle. Lol! The faux tan is perfect for when you are going to an event, on vacation, or if you don’t want others to see your pasty white skin. Poor Joe has to see my white legs, and we joked about that last Sunday before we went to Church. I laughed as we went out the door, and I told him that if we sang the song, “Whiter Than Snow,” in Church that day, they would be talking about my legs. So, we got to the very end of the service, and the preacher added one extra song to the service that was not on the agenda. Yep, it was “Whiter Than Snow,” and I thought Joe was going to bust out laughing. He did say, “they are singing about my wife’s legs,” and not in his inside voice. Lol! The people that were sitting in front of us got tickled too, and then they started showing us their legs. Lol! From now on, I will be sporting my faux tan so that the entire congregation does not sing about my legs. Hahaha!
Isn’t this the cutest top? I found this the other day when I was out shopping after I went to the thyroid doctor. A bright blue dress caught my attention that was in the window of the store. I went inside the store and was immediately thrilled. I started grabbing and grabbing and grabbing. I ended up leaving the store with 17 items, and this top was one of those items. The color is a light, muted green called Bok Choy. But, the buttons and the tie front detail is what caught my eye. I think that this is a perfect blend between being dressy and casual. The store was Versona, and it is a sister store of Cato Fashions. Here is the link to this top.
The Nonie earrings are so cute and colorful. I was not sure that I would like these earrings, but I really like them. They remind me of the old time vintage tins, and that may be the reason that I like them so much. They are very lightweight and are 3.25″ long. The bracelets that I have on are part of a set called the Stacia. This set has 4 bracelets on elastic cord, but I only have three of them on in this photo. There is another bracelet set called the Rachel that I also have, and I am going to mix and match them for the look that I want.
Funny story about these sandals. I ordered them back in the winter when I caught them on sale. I knew that I had the trip to Mexico coming up in April, so I bought them to take on my trip. Guess who forgot that she even had them? When I got back from Mexico, I was talking to my SIL about Tory Burch sandals. I told her that I loved the leopard print ones and that I would love to get that pair. Something triggered a memory in my brain, and I started thinking that I had already bought them. I went on a search of my house, and sure enough, I finally found them on the top of my dresser still in their box. Lol! I had gotten so used to seeing them on the dresser that I had forgotten that they were even there. Here is the link.
My jeans are a light color and from NYDJ. They are the Alina pull-on ankle skinny jeans and I love the stretchy feel and how they hug your curves. The website says that you should size down because they will stretch, however, I ordered my normal size 10 and they fit me great.
