Happy St. Patrick’s Day Eve! Lol! I bet when you first started reading that sentence, you thought that I was off a day. I guess that I sort of am, but since my Sunday post doesn’t contain fashion, I thought that I would remind you today. I would hate to be responsible for you getting pinched tomorrow. Lol! The color for St. Patrick’s Day is green, not black and blue. Haha! Yesterday was spent celebrating Joe’s birthday. We stayed up late the night before, and it was after midnight when we finally went to bed. I told Joe Happy Birthday before we went to sleep, and then he asked me why we didn’t celebrate our birthday’s. He wanted to know if he was the reason or if it was because we had gotten older. The truth is, it is probably a mixture of both things. Joe has never been one to remember dates, buy cute little gifts, or want a celebration for anything. I don’t know if that was the way he was raised or if it is a Joe thing. I have come to realize that he will buy what and when he wants something, and he doesn’t need a special day telling him that it is alright. Also, he will buy me anything that I ask for. He doesn’t pick up on clues or hints, so if I want something for my birthday, Christmas, Anniversary, etc., then I either buy it for myself, or I say precisely what I want. I don’t look for there to ever be a “surprise” party in either of our future. I would probably pass out from a heart attack, and he would probably hit someone thinking that he was being attacked. Lol! It doesn’t look like we are the “party animal” type. Lol!
I wore this blazer in February when I was showing you a way to wear green. I styled it with a pale printed top and a pair of white pants, (Go here to see) and today, I am wearing it with a solid top. It seems like a small change, but the looks are so very different. The post earlier was light and airy, and the post today is vibrant. This shows you how your own personal style can shine through even if you wear the same item as someone else.
I added my own bracelets to the look since the jewelry set didn’t have any. The dark green bracelet was a special purchase, and it is no longer available, but the light green Hilton and the Aurora Borealis Flynn are both still available. This shows you that you can mix and match vintage jewelry with new jewelry. You don’t have to do one or the other.
The platform wedge shoe is a style that you will see a lot of this year. This year must be about bringing back the seventies since we have the platform shoes and the flared jeans hitting the stores. These shoes are some that I have had for at least a year; they are by Marc Fisher.
I still love this flared leg jean by Leith. I am getting more accustomed to the high waist style, and every time I put these jeans on, I love them more. I actually have a similar style in my shopping cart right now because I feel like I am going to need another pair this summer. This pair fits great, and the price is under 70.00. It sounds like they were just made for the “seventies” era. Lol! Here is the link.
Can you see that I had on an additional bracelet that I decided I didn’t like and I took it off? It is laying on the step behind me. Lol!
Y’all, I am not trying to sell you anything. But, if you are in the market for good skincare, then I want to make sure that you are aware of the choices out there. Just like all cars are not created equal, neither are skincare products. Some might be packaged fancier, some might talk about being all natural, or some might tell you how affordable they are. Rodan + Fields believes in doing it the old fashioned way and letting the products speak for themselves. As they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words!”
