50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU HAVE TOO MUCH LEOPARD | FASHION OVER 40Happy New Year!!! It is that time of the year when everything is new and the possibilities are wide open. It is a fresh start, the time to shake off the past and look forward to the future. I view the first of every month in this same way. Once I started the blog, Plunder, and Rodan and Fields, all of the numbers from the previous month go back to zero and you start fresh each month. This took me some getting used to because I hated seeing all of my hard work from the previous month being erased. 50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU HAVE TOO MUCH LEOPARD | FASHION OVER 40Now, I look forward to starting back at zero each month because it gives me a goal and something to strive for. I have found that I like a challenge (I would never have thought that five years ago) and I love making a new goal monthly. A yearly goal (also known as a resolution) is what I am working on today. I will eat my cooked cabbage, my black-eyed peas, and some pork product and then I am working on my vision board for 2019. I am also going to write myself a letter and date it 01-01-20. The letter will be talking about what happened during 2019 and everything that was accomplished. It is so fun the next year to read the letter and see if what you wrote came true. They say that writing down your goals and saying them out loud will help you stick to them in the coming year. It is worth a try. Who is going to try this with me???50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU HAVE TOO MUCH LEOPARD | FASHION OVER 40 How many leopard print sweaters are too many? I saw this the other day in a local boutique, and I couldn’t pass it up. This sweater is soft and fussy, and if it had a v-neck neckline, it would have been perfect. This sweater is by a brand called Vine & Love, and this is the first item that I have had by this company. This sweater runs big, so I am wearing a size medium.

50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU HAVE TOO MUCH LEOPARD | FASHION OVER 40Gold was the perfect choice for jewelry today. I started with a simple black stud earring set in gold called Kellyanne. Then, I layered necklaces The Frannie necklace is the black acrylic stone that is encased in gold with a long gold chain. I added two of the Vienna necklaces which reminds me of horse stirrups for some reason. Lol! Because I wanted to draw your attention away from the neckline of the top, I added the Jefra bar necklace. The Kate Spade inspiration bangle is one that I bought over a year ago when I went to Charleston. I love jewelry that has a dual purpose like looking pretty and inspiring also. The link bracelet is the Lelani, and the tassel bracelet is the Mary Ellen. If you would like to make a purchase of any of these pieces or see what else that Plunder Designs has to offer, then click here and choose a party with my name.

50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU HAVE TOO MUCH LEOPARD | FASHION OVER 40You are going to LOVE these pants!!! You are going to love them TWICE as much because you will get TWO pants for one meager price. I received this pair (and another pair that you will see tomorrow) c/o QVC and Women with Control when I got home from Tennessee and I couldn’t wait to show them to you. These pants are so comfortable that you will feel like you are wearing yoga pants, but you will look like you spent a fortune and all day shopping for just the perfect black pant. As you can see from the picture above, they feature a pull on waistband, but what you can’t see is that the waistband is lined with Blu-Tec Control System® mesh for smoothing and support. I am wearing the mini bell style here (boot-cut leg), and I am wearing a size medium. These are machine washable and tumble dry so you will not have to “baby” your purchase. Usually, when I come home from work, I take off all of my jewelry, and then I change my clothes into something more comfortable. Today, when I got to the house, I took off my jewelry and put on a sweatshirt, but I left on my pants. There was no reason to change them since they were as comfortable as any sweatpants or leggings that I have. For the cherry on the sundae…they are a Today’s Special Value, and you can get both pairs of pants (check back tomorrow for the other pair) for under $50.00! Go HERE to be taken to the special. 50 IS NOT OLD | CAN YOU HAVE TOO MUCH LEOPARD | FASHION OVER 40I hope you have enjoyed today’s blog post. Happy New Year Tania. I love the leopard too and thanks for the recommendation on the pants. I love the idea of writing a letter. Hope this year is filled with God’s very best for you and your family. Thanks for the joy you add to my day.

  2. Happy New Year Tania and fellow readers! Love the idea of writing a letter to myself to open in 2020. I was just sharing with close friends and husband that the upcoming year will be a big one.

Wishing good health to all as that’s so important for all the other aspects of our life to work successfully and to be blessed with positive relationships

  3. You always looks so “put together” as my Aunt used to say. And, you make it look effortless! I try to get ideas from you but I don’t know that I will ever have that truly pulled together style you have. Although, I did have a young whippersnapper (28) at work comment one day she finds it commendable I still care how I look at my age (61). Seriously? I might be old but I’m not dead! Not yet anyway. Other than trying to be more like Tania (in style anyway), my only resolution this year is to get through some of the books that keep stacking up unread

  4. Happy New Year, Tania! You don’t even know me, but I think of you as a very dear friend! ❤️

  5. HAPPY 2019, Tania! I ordered the pants from QVC. Thank you for all you do to inspire us with your blog and your Utube instructional videos. May God bless you and your endeavors.

  6. Happy New Year Tania! Thanks for all the inspiration you provide on a daily basis. It is so appreciated!

I enjoy your daily posts. I agree with the other readers that your idea of writing a letter to yourself about what you accomplished in 2019 is an awesome idea. You are very goal oriented (something I need to work on) I am 57 with 7 grandchildren. Life with 6 kids was so busy. Our youngest is 18 now and life is going by so quickly. You take such good care of yourself and have inspired me to do the same and to get closer to the Lord.

Tania, thank you so much for highlighting QVC clothing! I am a huge QVC shopper because it is so convenient. I follow a lot of fashion blogs and yours is the only one to show clothing from QVC. You have given me so many great ideas on styling my different pieces and I love your bubbly personality. Happy New Year!

  10. Happy New Year, here’s to starting off with a clean slate in 2019! I really like your style and learn a lot from your hair and makeup videos. Looking forward to your posts in the new year.

  11. Happy New Year Tania! I was diagnosed with the flu yesterday but will not let that spoil my outlook today. You are the first blog I read every morning. Your personal style that is not driven by brands but what you like is so refreshingand your faith may not be mentioned every post but shines through. I feel excited about the coming year. A new day a new slate. Like the idea of a letter to myself. We forget to remember days gone by and I think these letters on new year day could be like mini time capsules. God bless you and your family in 2019. Thank you for just being Tania

  12. Happy New Year and NO – never too much leopard. Never too much Kate Spade either. I love her classic pieces. Keep up the good work, I love reading your blog each day!!!

  13. Happy New Year Tania!!! I look so forward to your emails everyday. Love your style!!!!!

Happy New Year 🎆🎈🎊. Love your leopard shirt. Look forward to your posts every day.

  15. I really do look forward to your daily posts, Tania! It is so easy to get stuck in a rut, but you always inspire me to be a little more creative and adventurous every day. I love traditions, but this year I am breaking one of them (***insert gasp here***)! I cooked a beautiful collard green soup yesterday which includes pork and black eyed peas to have for supper tonight, but instead of taking down decorations, I am throwing caution to the wind and heading to Nordstrom to do some New Year’s Day shopping with my BFF! Can’t wait to see what we find….maybe a new leopard sweater is in my future 🙂 Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Tania. Let women all over the world set themselves some goals for 2019 and be the very best they can be. You can never have too much leopard in your life. All the best and keep on inspiring.

  18. Happy New Year!! I have enjoyed reading your blog every morning of this past year, and look forward to upcoming blogs. I might, possibly, have too much leopard. Lol!!

  19. Happy New Year !! Love V necks too but this sweater is so cute without. Will check out the pants also. They look so comfortable.

  20. I find it so interesting how rapidly technology re-shapes our daily lives! A few years ago (2? 4?) I am not sure I knew much about bloggers and I know I did not follow any, let alone view their daily work! But all of a sudden we have these relationships created out of thin air, and those of us on the receiving end get so much benefit/information/inspiration from what you do that we wouldn’t know how to drink a cup of coffee without you! lol! I have a Hallmark bag from a few years back with the most wonderful saying printed on it, “We Create Ourselves As We Go” — and exposure to new people and places and ideas and leopard sweatshirts is part of how we do that. So Thank You, and I know you will create an amazing 2019 for yourself and your family and business partners!!

  22. Happy New Year Tania, and the Stephens family! I hope y’all had a wonderful Christmas, and are looking forward to a happy and healthy New Year in 2019. Tania, I enjoy starting my day reading your FB post. I have learned a lot from you. I love my R&F products and the way my skin feels now. You inspire me to look my best! 🥰

  23. I love your outfit! Our little town, Louisville, Ohio uses a Leopard as its School mascot so we are surrounded by Leopard in two shades of blue♡ It’s a beautiful thing!

  24. Happy New Year Tania! Love your blog and all your ideas on style and especially your Sunday message! You are a wonderful inspirational lady! May God continue to bless you and your family! BTW I do love Women with Control pants! Love Carla

  25. I agree with others, never too much leopard print. And I’m checking out the pants after I’m done here. I’ve been reading your blog since 2016 and have enjoyed it everyday since. This from someone who never read a blog in her life and you’re still only one I do read. I’ve not found another that seems as real, helpful and inspiring all at same time. As another commenter said, I don’t even know you but feel like you’re a friend. It’s nice to start each day with a friend. Especially one that more often than not makes me start the day with a laugh! You make me believe that even at 52 I can change my life. Happy 2019 and God Bless.

  37. Happy new year. I look forward to you blog every morning to get ideas on what to wear. I am a personal banker and like to look out together and you sure
Do help and inzire me! Thank you!

  38. Happy New Year Tania!!!! Love all the leopard print clothes and accessories you’ve been showing us! I’m going to have to check out those pants from QVC; I’ve been looking for a nice pair of black pants, so your post today was perfect timing for me. My dog has a “hangover” today… no, not from alcohol, but from staying awake all hunkered down in the back of his doghouse in the garage last night because of all the loud fireworks the neighbors were shooting off. I feel so bad for animals when people do this; it really scares them. Maybe the neighbors are finished, I hope. Have a wonderful day!!!

  45. Happy New Year Miss Tania! I too change my clothes when I get home and am razzed by the man of the house that I look frumpy. Feel free to do a post on at home leisure wear. Thank you for spending time with us each day. You make the world brighter 😀

Happy New Year, Tania and fellow readers. I discovered you in 2018 while looking for inspiration and instructions on not looking old. I lost 30 lbs. last year and thus needed new clothes so you have influenced my new style. After a breast cancer diagnosis last spring followed by a mastectomy and reconstruction with more doctor appointments than I can count, I vowed to put me first rather than last. I now care how I look and what I wear and I feel 100 percent better about myself. Thank you, Tania for your faith and your devotion to helping others. You are a blessing.

  63. Happy New Year. Every day you inspire…so many not just me. But for teaching us your real beauty is caused because you know how many people you reach and enpower… from someone who has felt quite powerless for six months I start the new Year inspired.. Lovely lady! who has taught me so much
