50 IS NOT OLD |CAN YOU WEAR GLITTER BOOTS OVER 40 | FASHION OVER 40Gurl’s, I am going on the road again. This time it is not with Rodan + Fields. Lol! It is for the annual Halloween birthday bash that is for my grandbabies. All three of the Tennessee grandbabies are born within a months time so they have a huge party for the three of them together. It is a Halloween theme since Matti B.’s birthday is the 30th. EVERYONE dresses up, including all of the adults. I am struggling this year so it might be a dud.50 IS NOT OLD |CAN YOU WEAR GLITTER BOOTS OVER 40 | FASHION OVER 40 Then, if that wasn’t enough, I am going to be going to my sister’s house in the Atlanta Georgia area for a Vintage Fashion Show. Those are always a lot of fun and quite a bit of work too. Last year I got to meet Michelle, who reads my blog, and that was a highlight! Did I hate that Joe hates for me to travel? Did I mention that I am going to be gone for two weekends in a row? Did I mention that Joe suggested that I just go ahead and spend some extra time with my mom and dad and just go to my sister’s from there? Did I mention that I love him more than I ever thought possible? How sweet was that? SURPRISE, mom and dad! I know that you are reading this. Lol!!!50 IS NOT OLD |CAN YOU WEAR GLITTER BOOTS OVER 40 | FASHION OVER 40 Do you have days where you want to look nice but you don’t want to be all “dressed” up? I mean that I like a nice top and a comfortable pair of jeans on, but I want to still look cute and stylish. That is what I think about today’s top. It is so cute with its ties at the sleeves and the boat neck is a flattering neckline. This is on sale right now for $10.00. Can you believe that? For $10.00 you can look cute, be comfortable, and not have to worry if you spill something on it. It didn’t cost a fortune. It comes in several different colors and I am wearing a medium. Go here to check it out. 50 IS NOT OLD |CAN YOU WEAR GLITTER BOOTS OVER 40 | FASHION OVER 40I am wearing a cute pair of pom pom earrings that was part of the Plunder Posse from Plunder Jewelry. The Posse is a subscription service that is 25.00 per month (including taxes and shipping) You will get 1 to 3 pieces of jewelry each month and there are no enrollment or cancellation fees. The earrings that I have on were one of three different pairs that they sent out that month. The Posse is fantastic for Christmas gifts also. Just a little reminder that it is getting that time of year again. The cross necklace that I have on is an old one and one of my favorites. It came from Cato Fashions probably 2 or 3 years ago. And the bracelet I have on is the Jazlyn. It is a boho style with a magnetic closure. It is perfect for all of you ladies who are partial to wearing black. 50 IS NOT OLD |CAN YOU WEAR GLITTER BOOTS OVER 40 | FASHION OVER 40This is where I expect to get a lot of comments. You are either going to love these block heel glitter boots or you are going to think that I have gone crazy. Lol!!! I remember seeing earlier in the year that sparkly boots were a “thang” and I thought that there was no way that I would wear them. But, guess what? They have grown on me and I actually like them quite a lot. I did purchase a pair that was more affordable since I figure that it will only be a trend for a year or so and I don’t want to buy an “investment” pair.

50 IS NOT OLD |CAN YOU WEAR GLITTER BOOTS OVER 40 | FASHION OVER 40My jeans are a pair from Old Navy that I have had for a while. They have just a small amount of distress on them but not much. They are perfect for the ladies who want to look trendy but who don’t like the really distressed look. I did a large cuff on them so that you could see the shoes instead of two smaller rolls.

50 IS NOT OLD |CAN YOU WEAR GLITTER BOOTS OVER 40 | FASHION OVER 40Maybe I should go as Michael Jackson for Halloween and wear my glitter boots. Lol! I don’t think that I have a glove though. Hahaha! Plus, I am sure that I don’t know how to do the “moonwalk” dance move. Instead, I am still in search of a costume, one that is easy and that I will probably have all of the items to do. In my Facebook group, the one about Trick or Treatment, the ladies have been giving me a lot of suggestions and I am going to see if I can’t do one of them. 2. Life should be full of glitter and bling. I love the boots. Not too sure I could pull them off into the daytime, but certainly would wear in the evening.

I was a little surprised that I liked them as much as I do.

  5. how is the fit on the boots I was just on the ON site doing some early morning browsing, have only tried their shoes on in store, and haven’t been that comfortable, I do like the look with the jeans

I am wearing my normal size 9 in the boots. I like the comfort of their boots better than I do their other shoes.

  6. You look great!!! Love the outfit. I’m not sure the glitter boots are for me, but you definitely can pull them off! I can’t wait to see your costume. I’m sure you’ll come up with something terrific. Joe is a keeper! It’s so nice to have someone who has your back and is supportive!! Your theme song is “On the Road Again” !! 😂😊 Have a great time visiting your family!!

Joe “is” a keeper. In the words of the movie Oh Brother where art thou…….”He’s Bonafide!”

Some people can pull off boots like that. I have a friend who wears dressy rhinestone jewelry every day and she definitely pulls it off. You can do those boots. They are really cute on you. I love them,

  8. Looks like I am the minority so far and going to be honest that I don’t care for the boots. I love the casual outfit and think “I” would like just a pair of tennis shoes or boots to finish off the look but that’s just me. What an awesome price on the top. Hope I can get to ON soon to see what I can find.

Too funny, Sandy, because I don’t wear tennis shoes. I see others wear them, but I just can’t make myself. If I do, they have to be a fashion styled pair.

  9. love the boots, i have glitter flats that i picked up on clearance, Love them! great look today.

  10. Cute outfit. You are brave to wear the glitter boots. I don’t think I could pull that off. Where did you get them? Unless I missed that in the post. Happy travels.

You could do it, Johnna! Lol! I got them at Old Navy.

  11. Love the outfit. A cute get around town look. I like the boots! Enjoy your family!

Good morning! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Your boots! You look sassy! Can’t get over how VERY pretty it is where you live! Have a fabulous time of your vacation. Safe and happy travels.

  13. You can definitely pull off sparkle boots! Might I suggest a sparkle watch band for your Apple watch to match? They are a Thang too!! Have fun visiting your family.

  14. You look awesome and definitely rock those boots! Safe travels!

  15. Have fun with your travels! Love to see your costume you come up with. I’m not one for dressing up much but appreciate others’ efforts. My daughter and college friends last year did Pacman costumes together and won the contest! Well, the sparkly boots are not for me, but look great on you! I have two of these ON shirts, coral and burgundy and have worn them a lot. They’re great!

Love the entire outfit! I’ve seen the top at Old Navy, it looks so much cuter on than it did on the hanger. Just ordered it after seeing it on you!

  17. Feel like the minority here but I say no to the boots. They would be cute on my 4 year old niece.
Really do not like them with jeans, maybe with Black dress.
Wishing you safe travels and lots of family time and love.
I really do enjoy your blog and your stories!

I looove the boots! I went to our Dillard’s outlet today and found some black crushed velvet boots! Tom’s brand, I love them!! It’s fun to throw some fun in the wardrobe! I dig your style! I also, found a black and pearl cross at TJ Maxx! I love getting your ideas!

Those sound really cute. Velvet is a huge trend right now!

  19. If I don’t have glitter booties, will get them. Hopefully, a silver pair AND a gold pair, if fortune smiles upon me. What’s not to love?? (Ordered the tee in every color. With extra 20% off with code SWEET, how could I not?)

Joe is so sweet to suggest you spend time with family. The party sounds like great fun, I know you will come up with a great costume. I think you look so cute in this outfit, and very thin as well. I don’t know if I’m cool enough for the boots, but you definitely are.
