I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and that you are chomping at the bit to get this week started. I am sitting here at my kitchen table/desk and all laid back in my brand new chair. I spend a ton of time working on the computer and I have been complaining about my neck and shoulders hurting me all the time. Waking up with a headache and being tight and tense has become my everyday normal feeling. Joe is an engineer by schooling even though he no longer practices that trade so he immediately had to start diagnosing the situation. He measured the height of my workspace, the angle of my legs, the placement of my arms, on and on and on. Then he declared that there was no wonder that I hurt all the time because I was having to hold my arms up to type and my head was looking down in an awkward position. He got online and did his research until he found me the perfect chair. It was way more than I was comfortable spending but he declared my health much more important than the money. I finally agreed to try the chair when he reminded me that it was a taxable deduction. Don’t you hate it when you have to tell them that they were right? Lol! This chair is crazy good. Everything on it is adjustable and it conformS to you. If you spend long hours at a desk then you will want to look into this chair, you won’t be sorry.
I get a lot of emails from ladies asking me about the basics and essentials of a wardrobe. My answer is to buy solid colored pieces and then to add personality with prints and accessories. I am going to do a week-long post about taking one essential item and incorporating it into multiple outfits. I am starting with this plain navy v-neck t-shirt. This shirt is from Cato Fashions and it is 60% cotton and 40% polyester. I look for a nice weight in a t-shirt but I also want it to be soft. I would prefer one that is a little more fitted than this one but I don’t want to fit so tight that you see a lot of my lumps and bumps. I think that you will look at the lowly t-shirt in a different way after this series is over.
I don’t think that I have worn the Haley necklace on the blog before. I think this is a great necklace for the transition period leading up to fall because of the colors. It has white and peach for the summer months but then it also has the navy and olive green which are more fall type colors. See, I told you it was the perfect transition necklace. Lol! When I looked at the necklace in the catalog, I thought it was a fabric necklace but it is not. It is a bunch of tiny round thin beads that are all strung together. It is a very unique piece. I didn’t wear any earrings for this casual look but I did add the Kensie bracelet because it had some of the peach colors in it. It is getting that time of the year when Plunder is getting ready to discontinue a lot of pieces to make room for the new fall and winter collection. If you would like a list of the retiring pieces then just let me know and I will email you the list. If you wish to make a purchase then go to www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and pick a party in my name. I bet you thought that I had on the same jeans that I did in the post (here) that I did last week. I KNOW! They almost look identical but I found these for about half of the price so you know that I had to have them. It is not about how much you spent but about how much you saved. Lol! These are by a brand that I had never purchased from before so I wasn’t sure about the sizing. The brand is Reba and all I could think of was Reba Mcentire. Lol! I ordered my normal size of 10 and they fit perfect! I really really like these jeans and the way they fit. Go here to check them out. I have on a pair of cork wedge sandals by Tommy Hilfiger today. I have worn this pair constantly this summer. The small platform is not too tall for me and a wedge heel is my favorite type of heel because they are so much easier to walk in. With any heel, you need to be careful how you walk because a turned ankle could be dangerous, especially when you also have the extra height of the platform. I don’t want any of you breaking an ankle and saying, “that stupid Tania told me these shoes were easy to walk in.” Lol! Joe was making fun of me the other day when I was walking off of the back porch. It has about 3 steps and I went over to the side that was against the house and put my hand out to steady myself as I walked down. I told him that if he was having to wait on me hand and foot because I fell that he wouldn’t think it was so funny. I probably wouldn’t think it was funny either. I would hate to have to depend on him to get me something to eat. That would be the ultimate diet. Lol!
Gurls, I have to brag just a tiny bit. I got a notification that I am in the top 2% of ALL of Rodan + Fields!!! Holy Cow! 🐄I have only been in this business for a couple of years and I can see the endless opportunities. This month I am focusing on helping my team and others achieve these same goals. I have started a group page on Facebook called, “What if? Is R+F right for you?” I am going to be going live on the page and talking about what Rodan + Fields is, how I make it work into my busy schedule, and seeing if it is right for you. Because I hear soooooo many people say, “but I don’t have a blog” I am inviting several of my R+F friends to come live on different days and tell how they got involved with R+F, why they got involved, and how it works for them and hopefully you can see that anyone can do this business. I would love for you to join me in this group, there is no obligation and I will not be contacting you if you do not ask me to. This is simply a learning group. I love what R+F has done for my skin, my confidence, and my finances and I would love to share that with all of you. Click here and request to join the group. I will be having giveaways in the group this month so don’t hesitate to join.
