50 IS NOT OLD | SAME BLOUSE AND A DIFFERENT LOOK PART 3 | FASHION OVER 40 Have you ever had one of those days? The one that won’t end and nothing will go right? Welcome to my world! I have a BIG sponsored post coming up in the next week and I am stressing because I had to get my pictures taken today, get the post written, and submit it in order to meet a deadline. The problem is that my laptop computer has picked today to start going haywire on me. Nothing wants to download and I keep getting error messages. And then, I had to ask Joe to take my photos for me. Gurls, you really need to put me on the prayer list that we don’t strangle each other before this process is over.50 IS NOT OLD | SAME BLOUSE AND A DIFFERENT LOOK PART 3 | FASHION OVER 40 I needed a hi-resolution headshot to give to this company and since I don’t have one already, I told Joe that I needed to take one. Most headshots need to be on a plain background so I “rigged” a backdrop using a sheet. Lol!!! Then Joe came out and took my pictures for me. Because we don’t have the same make of phone he decided to send me the pictures by a photo transfer app that he found. He downloaded a bunch of them and then for some reason the second bunch of photos got hung. He thought that he was canceling the transfer but instead he DELETED all of the photos. I just about cried since I had already changed clothes and one of the 288794948734934500834 photos was actually good. We had to take them all over again and then I sent the 2 or 3 of the best photos to my sister and her husband, who is a professional photographer, and asked them if they could “tweak” the photos. In other words, I want you to recognize me but I want it to be the BEST me that you have ever seen. Lol! Joe has now declared that he wants “that” version around all the time and I second that statement.50 IS NOT OLD | SAME BLOUSE AND A DIFFERENT LOOK PART 3 | FASHION OVER 40 Are you tired of seeing this top yet? In case you missed it, here is day one of me styling this day and here is day two’s styling. Both of those days were a little more casual than today’s look. I know that some of you work in an office setting and dresses or skirts are your uniforms. I added a linen blazer to go with the dressier look. I love a blazer and linen has come a long way since the days when you couldn’t sit down without looking like you had been out wollering on the ground.

I always think that pearls go with anything, especially a dressier outfit. I have on the Pearl necklace and I have doubled it since it is 50″ long. I added the Torilyn bracelet which is 7 strands of pearls. I love that it has a magnetic clasp which makes it super easy to get on and take off. I didn’t add pearl earrings but instead went with the Ashton gold earrings to bring out the gold in the necklace and bracelet. I just placed another huge order of Plunder which has several necklaces in it. I love my Plunder jewelry because it is affordable and I can get all the latest trends without spending a fortune. Go to www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens to make a purchase and please pick a party with my name in it. To bring out the blue in the blouse again, I added a navy lace crochet skirt. This skirt is one that I have had for a long time and I bought it from Cato Fashions. Lace is very fancy and feminine and I think it looks great with this skirt.

I know that some of you see me post about Rodan + Fields all the time. You know that I love the products and that I am thrilled with the business. I believe in this company so much that I bought a business kit for my daughter and daughter-in-law for their birthday’s. I gifted them a business and a wonderful opportunity. It is now up to them what they do with it. TODAY, corporate has come out with a wonderful incentive for you if you choose to join me in this business. If you decide to join me before the end of the month with a 695.00 or 995.00 kit you will get a FREE extra Redefine Regimen. ALSO, because my team has an incentive going on you will also receive a FREE Lash Boost. The products in those two kits are already at a savings of 50% off and that alone is a great deal. BUT, by getting an extra Redefine regimen and a Lash Boost that is an extra 350.00 value.

I did, Diane. He actually took a pretty amazing photo so he got a reprieve. Lol!

  1. Oh no! What a stressful day. Hope you and Joe have managed to survive it. Your outfit today looks very professional and business like. A good look. Wishing you success.

  2. Great outfit! I love the navy skirt and the close-up photo – so pretty!! After all the stress you managed to pull this one off!! 👏👏

It was touch and go for a little while, Carol! I am lucky that I have thick hair since I was pulling it out yesterday. Lol!

  3. Thanks for showing the blouse in different ways. Too many times I get locked into wearing my clothes only one way. Maybe i don’t need as much clothes as I have. LOL

    • Tania Reply

Ann, of course, we need more clothes. Lol! We just need a variety of ways to wear them. Hahaha!

Thanks, Rhonda. I will take “slenderizing” any day of the week!

  4. Lol!!! Sounds like Greg and I taking photos for my blog! Lol!! Kudo’s to our patient husbands for putting up with us!! Congrats on your sponsored post!! I’m sure it will be fabulous!! Can’t wait to see it!!!

Susanne, I imagined you and Greg getting along fabulously. Joe says that I am too bossy. Lol!!! I can’t imagine that.

  5. That was my day yesterday. Crap, crap, crap all day at work, then traffic was horrible and it took an hour to drive home.
Misery loves company! You look great!!!!

Nancy, today is a brand new day! Whew! I am glad that day is behind me and you too. Lol!

  6. I really like your outfit again! I love the blazer with the blouse (and your jewelry and the skirt). 🙂 Thank you for this mini-series.

I am so glad that you are enjoying the mini-series, Angela. This is why everyone thinks that I have such a large wardrobe. 😉

When you post different ways to wear the same clothing item, I would love to see them side by side instead of switching back and forth. What a great idea though. I’m always in a quandary about using something in totally different style outfits. I get into a rut wearing the same outfit each time because I just don’t think about changing it up!

  8. I love the way you style the plunder jewelry and have purchased several pieces because of that. Their website shows a lot of skin and breast revealing pics. Does that make you uncomfortable as it does me? My husband or son would also feel incomfortable going to the website (to buy me gifts).

  9. Lovely work wear outfit! i love these types of series. thanks, tanya!

  10. Tania, that is so cute on you!

I like the above suggestion of all the outfits side by side. If this isn’t the last of the series, perhaps you could post all of them side by side in the last post?

  11. I have a navy lace skirt that I’ve been trying to pair with a patterned top (instead of a solid). Love these pieces together! Can you provide information on the belt?
