When we were waiting for the airplane to finish boarding everyone I brought up a book on Audible and started listening to it. I like to listen to self-development books and I strive to improve myself daily. Anyway, the name of this book was, “Girl, Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis. I assumed that this was going to be written from the perspective of someone in the skincare industry. However, I don’t think that is the case and I have been pleasantly surprised. I was so wrapped up in this book that the 3 hours flew (play on words, lol) by. I especially loved the chapter that talked about keeping promises to yourself. Basically, she was saying can you be trusted to keep your word? She talked about how you wouldn’t think of breaking a promise to a friend or loved one but that how we will break promises to ourselves all the time. Think of how many times you said you were going to eat better, lose weight, start exercising, or even quit playing for hours on Facebook and then in a couple of weeks we are right back at it again, doing the same things we were before. Her suggestion is to start small. Only make a commitment for 30 days and then to build up from there. So, I announced on Facebook yesterday that I was going to start consuming half of my body weight in water, pounds to ounces. Let’s just say I am drinking a LOT of water. I completed day one and I am starting day two today. If we are friends on Facebook, send me a message if you are interested in doing this challenge with me.This outfit is one that I wore before I went to Cancun. I have several pictures already taken and I want to use them before I add newer ones. This is a pin-tucked dress that I bought at Old Navy back in the fall of 2016. See here. In some areas of the country, it is still pretty chilly so I wanted to show how you could take a long sleeve dress and still make it look more like a spring outfit. By adding bright turquoise accessories and a pale blue vest, I changed your focus. These are brighter more spring-like colors and they make the overall look feel lighter.

In all honesty, I did not wear these shoes by Marc Fisher with this outfit. In fact, I just bought the shoes on my way home from work and decided to put them on and see how they looked. I figured that since I had them on I might as well take pictures with them. Lol! The blues are not close enough that I would wear this together but for showing purposes, I figured it was alright. Let’s just say that this is my pop of color. Lol! I love the bright color of these suede shoes and the ankle strap detail. Why are they bringing suede into spring and summer??? I have no idea since this is normally a fall and winter fabric. This pair has a padded insole and they are very comfortable. I took them to Cancun with me and I wore them one night but I don’t think that we got any pictures. The long pale blue vest is by Lu La Roe. I have had it for a while and I really don’t wear it that often. I love the color but I just can’t seem to figure out how to style it to suit me. I actually got several compliments on this outfit today so maybe this wasn’t so bad.I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.I am a country bumpkin and I don’t know much about the financial world. Yesterday, I found out the TPG, an equity investment firm, has become a minor partner with Rodan + Fields. The people in the financial industry are pretty stoked about this. All I know is that R+F is growing at a rapid pace and that they wanted to bring in some big guns to help with the expansion. Ever hear of little companies like UBer, Neiman Marcus, J. Crew, airbnb, Chobani, or Alltell? Those are just a few of the companies the TPG are partners with. For those who might have been wondering if R+F was a “legit” business, or if the direct sales market was a good business model then here is your answer. A HUGE investment firm chose to partner with R+F, they chose to put their money in this business and they did lots and lots of research before they jumped in. Rodan + Fields was already on the move but this will really skyrocket this company. Hop on board the train before it leaves the station. Lol!
Anyone who joins me in the business this month with one of the top two business kits will receive a FREE regimen of their choice. Check out the kits here. Don’t overthink this. The start is so small in comparison to a normal small business. Message me for details at fiftyisnotold@ .
