50 IS NOT OLD | TIERED BELL SLEEVES | FASHION OVER 40Winter just can’t seem to make up its mind. I have heard winter described as “Old Man Winter” but I am beginning to think that the description is wrong. I believe instead that winter must be a woman and we all know how women are. At least some of us are known for having a hard time making up our minds. Winter can’t decide if it is staying or going here in Virginia. There were several days of temperatures in the 70’s and all day on Wednesday I watched snow flurries flying around outside my window at work. Crazy!!!50 IS NOT OLD | TIERED BELL SLEEVES | FASHION OVER 40The time is changing on Sunday, my Forcynthia bush is blooming, I see buttercups popped up all over town, and there are several trees that are blooming in the mountains. That means Spring is here or at least fast approaching. That is a good thing because I am trying to style spring clothing and people around town keep giving me looks that say, “look at that woman, she is crazy!” In fact, I think some of you who live in the northern states of the US might be giving me those looks too. Lol!!! What can I say? I make sacrifices for my gurls! Anyway, don’t forget to spring forward this coming weekend!50 IS NOT OLD | TIERED BELL SLEEVES | FASHION OVER 40This outfit screams SPRING!!! I am loving the baby blue of this top. I tried it on as I was talking to my sister on the phone. That happens a lot in the mornings, and I told her that I couldn’t decide if I was keeping it or sending it back. She told me to send her a picture and then very forcefully said, “keep it!” Honestly, it didn’t take much to push me over the edge because I really love the color, the white stripes on the sleeves and around the bottom, and I like the ruffle details. You know it is ALL about the sleeves this year!

50 IS NOT OLD | TIERED BELL SLEEVES | FASHION OVER 40Pearls! Ahhh, I love my pearls. Pearls are my go-to when I don’t really have anything else specifically that I want to wear. They go with jeans as well as dresses, in other words, they are versatile. The Lottie necklace has been one that I have worn and worn and worn. I love all of the multiple stands and it is not as heavy as it looks. Don’t get me wrong, it is still on the heavier side, but I can wear this without my neck hurting. The Valerie pearl bracelet is so easy to get on an off because it stretches. If you are young that might not mean much to you, but as you get older or if you have arthritis that can come in handy. I like the Lauren key earrings but I don’t like them with this outfit, they are much too bright and too Aqua. I changed my jewelry for the peals and forgot that I had added the Lauren earrings. Whoops! With another top, they would be adorable. Don’t forget that Plunder has extended their signup offer of 12 EXTRA pieces of jewelry for becoming a consultant. You get 9 pieces (I think) for the 99.00, PLUS this month you will get an additional 12 pieces! You can’t beat that with a stick. Lol!!! Go to plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and at the bottom of the page, you will see the Become A Stylist tab. 50 IS NOT OLD | TIERED BELL SLEEVES | FASHION OVER 40Can you tell where my shoes start and my leg ends? Hahaha! You know that if you wear a shoe the same color as your pants that it will elongate your leg, so, what if the shoe is the same color as your leg? Do my legs look longer??? I could have uploaded these pictures to a service that “tans” the photos but I wanted you to realize that I am just like you. I am white in the winter. I am also too lazy to apply the sunless tanner that I sell and have plenty of. Lol! The shoes are H by Halston and they came from QVC. They do have a high heel of 4 1/2″ which takes me a little getting used to when I put them on. The good part is that they are on sale for over 1/2 off. 50 IS NOT OLD | TIERED BELL SLEEVES | FASHION OVER 40I like this pair of white pants because of the seam down the front. I will pick this pair over all of my other white dress pants. They are the perfect length and the fit perfectly. The brand is Jules & Leopold and I think this pair came from TJ Maxx but I couldn’t be sure because they are several years old. I can’t believe that I have kept a pair of white pants for so long, especially a pair that I wear so often.

50 IS NOT OLD | TIERED BELL SLEEVES | FASHION OVER 40How are you enjoying my week of white? Too much too fast? Let me share with you the funniest story. This will leave you giggling for the rest of the day. I was sitting here at my computer last night and my phone dings notifying me that I had a text message. I opened it up to see that I had a message from my son who lives in Tennessee, AND he is 37 years old. I opened the message and it said, “I’m not getting in!!!!! I’ve been waiting for four years to bath with you!!! I want to bath either Thursday or Friday if you even want to!!!” Talk about being confused! I texted him back, “What are you talking about? Have you lost it? 🤪 All I got back from him was a “?” Then in a few seconds, I got another text, “Oh…., hahaha! That was Matti (my 9-year old granddaughter) using my iCloud and thinking that she was texting Steph (my DIL) 🤣🤣🤣🤣 When Matti opened up the phone and it said “MOM” she thought it was her mom instead of her daddy’s mom. Hahaha! I can’t wait to tease her about this later when I get to see her.

I wanted to make sure that you saw that there was a big incentive offer from R+F and I decided to make it even sweeter. Go HERE to check it out.

    • No, you didn’t miss the link. I got this top from my Trunk Club shipment but it was no longer on the website, it must have already sold out. 🙁

  1. Hi Tania. Love that look! The shoes are fabulous!!! Thanks for sharing the grand baby story! Best wishes. Jo from Queensland, Australia.

  2. Love the top. I am jealous to hear about all the blooming trees and flowers. Woke up today to about a foot of snow and it’s still coming down. You have love weather in New England!

    • Linda, it is pouring the snow here today also so I am betting a some of those blooming trees will have their blooms die.

  3. Love that top! The sleeve detail and the color are so feminine and pretty. Would you share where you got the top?

    • Debbie, I bought the top from my Trunk Club shipment but it has already sold out on the Nordstrom website. 🙁

    • Oh my goodness, my sister is going to read this and feel like she needs to give me advice on everything now. Lol!

  4. Snow, hail and a 12 hour power outage here last night. I am really tired of winter. Thanks for the uplifting outfit so I can focus on spring! Best…Kathy

  5. I LOOOOVE this outfit on you. The colors are soo spring, and then the bright POP of blue from your purse is amaazzing.. ; )

  6. Love the outfit and the shoes are georgous. Just checked QVC and not only are they half off but you get additional discount if you’re new to QVC. I don’t need them, have no where to wear them…but they’re beautiful and it’s too good of.a deal to pass up. ❤️ 👠

  7. Hi Tania. I love today’s outfit! I’m a huge fan of the bell sleeve and that top is just too cute, especially in that gorgeous shade of blue. Love the shoes too and I admire you for being able to wear such a high heel; I’m not that brave any longer!!!

  8. I love your outfit! The colors look so good on you. I am loving the sleeve details on tops for the Spring. It’s nice to see a Spring outfit and dream of warmer days.

  9. Love, love this outfit. You look like spring. I have a pair of black pants with a seam down the front and I love the fit of them. You do such a great job putting things together. Have a great day, still snow on the ground here in Michigan❄️❄️

  10. Love everything about this outfit. Where did the top come from? Also, if you become a Plunder stylist, is there a minimum monthly order?

    • Phyllis, the top was in my Trunk Club shipment but it has already sold out. As a Plunder stylist there is no minimum to sell.

  11. Love the blue! I’ve been on a blue kick myself…baby blue, navy, turquoise, periwinkle. I know Pantone named a purple shade the color of the year, but I only have eyes for blue…and blush. I kind of needed an intervention with all the blush items I purchased over the past 3 or so years. I’m thinking about purchasing those heels. Super cute!

  12. This is probably one of my favorite outfits on you! I love the top – can you share the brand please? I like the tops you show but they just don’t match the style of the one you’re wearing. I feel spring coming although it’s so cold today.

    • Lisa, the top was by CeCe and it was in my Trunk Club shipment. It had already sold out on the Nordstrom site. 🙁

  13. I love this outfit and those shoes. You look like a lady on her way to a tea room for cucumber sandwiches and some girl talk with your best friend.

  14. My favorite outfit all week! That sweater is adorable! Love the shoes, but I’d never be able to walk in 4 inch spike-heels! Lol……and I’m not even going to try!

  15. The blouse is beautiful. The babt blue brings out your eyes. I love the white trim.I am with you sister…”keep it”!
The pearls are perfect! They look great with Everything you wear them with. I need them both!

  16. Oh my, I love this beautiful outfit! You look just lije the Southern Belle you are! That top! Those shoes! Beautiful!!
