I sure wish that I was coming to you from “my” house. I bet you gurls wouldn’t mind me taking my pictures on my front porch if it looked like this. Lol!!! This porch was so gorgeous. When I was a child growing up I would go with my dad to some of his job sites. He was a brick and stone mason and I have always loved stonework on a house. This is the perfect blend of stone, concrete, and siding. I can remember my dad telling me that the dry stacking method, where the mortar does not show from the front, was the hardest to do. It just looks like the stones have been placed on top of each other with nothing holding them in place. One of the areas that I remember riding around and looking at houses was Crossville, Tennessee. There are so many homes made of stone in this area. To this day, if I ever had the chance to have the home of my dreams it would be a big log and stone home. I would have large wood plank floors and a huge stone fireplace. I can envision a german shepherd dog laying on a big rug at the hearth. Great big wood beams form an A-frame ceiling and it has to have a wrap around porch with lots of rocking chairs. Right outside you would find a small stream that runs through the backyard and lots of wildflowers would be in full bloom on its banks. If you are going to have dreams they might as well be big and grand. Hahaha!I bought this cold shoulder top by Cherish back several months ago at a local boutique in town. The only problem that I can see in me buying clothing from boutiques is their clothing is not always easy to find online. This top had a brushed feel to the material which made it very soft. I like the small slit opening instead of the really large openings for the cold shoulder look. This is one of those tops that you could lay around the house in, run around town in, or wear out to dinner in.
Marc Fisher is the brand of these leather knee boots. This is a pair that I really like because they are very casual. The block heel design is easy to wear and you don’t have to worry about turning your ankle on them. It looks like I need to polish them again though, the toe is looking scuffed. I need to take them back to my brother-in-law, he loves to polish shoes. Lol!
Here is the view that I hate but it shows you how the top is made and it also shows you the back of the boots. My pants are Rockstar jeans by Old Navy. This pair was on sale really, really cheap a couple weeks ago and now I don’t see them on the site anymore. I guess they sold out of this color but there are several nice colors still left to choose from.
I just recently found out a trick for keeping my skin moist and soft. My Energizer Bunny Friend told me that she was doing while we were in Georgia and I started it on Sunday night and I am loving it. I have the dryest skin know to man-kind but I am terrible at putting lotion on it. I do good on my face but bad when it comes to the rest of my body. I have several tubes of Rodan + Fields body moisturizer but I never use it. (I know, I know) Anyway, I told her that I really preferred a thinner lotion so that it is when she told me that she had been adding 2 or 3 drops of the Active Hydration Serum to the lotion before she rubbed it on her skin. I tried this and it solved my problem of the lotion being too thick so far I am really pleased.
