BRINGING WINE TO CHARLESTON

50 IS NOT OLD | BRINGING WINE TO CHARLESTONThank you, thank you, thank you for all the sweet comments and well wishes you all left for me. When I woke up I still had a headache but a hot shower and a cup of coffee did help. By the time we left to go to the airport to pick up our friend from New Jersey it was down to a mild throb. While my Energizer Bunny Friend waited at the car I went in to collect Lucille. I actually ended up coming up behind her and I hugged her from the back. I think I scared her to death though by the way she jumped. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | BRINGING WINE TO CHARLESTONAfter we grabbed a bite to eat we just happened to come across a Premium outlet store. My vehicle turned in on its own accord and there was NOTHING I could do about it. Hahaha! We decided to split up and meet back in two hours so that we could travel on to our destination. I went into Ann Taylor and an hour and 15 minutes later I left that store. I turned the corner to head to Talbots and there sat my buddies all finished with their shopping. I told them to have fun because I still had a couple more stores to go into. I did a quick drive-by of two stores and came back with a couple bags. I told them that this was the hazard of traveling with a fashion blogger. Lol!!!50 IS NOT OLD | BRINGING WINE TO CHARLESTONI JUST bought this tie-dyed fringed cardigan the other day. I couldn’t wait to wear this cardigan so I went out of my way to find things in my closet to match it. It was actually pretty easy when I broke it down into navy and wine. I liked the cotton material and the rag style look of this cardigan. This is a long sleeve cardigan but I have pushed up the sleeves because I love that effect. This was just enough coverage and warmth for cooler mornings but not enough to be too hot when it gets warm in the afternoon.

50 IS NOT OLD | BRINGING WINE TO CHARLESTONEverything I have on today is from the new Fall jewelry line of Plunder Design Jewelry. Starting at the top I have on my Sam earrings. These are a 3.5-inch drop which is longer than I normally wear but I really like these. They look like a satin finish to me but it doesn’t say on the website. 50 IS NOT OLD | BRINGING WINE TO CHARLESTONThe bracelet is the Lydia. It is a spoon bracelet style that says BLESSED. This bracelet is adjustable from 6 to 9 inch. There is a matching necklace called the Brenna that has the same saying. The Annalisa necklace is from the Inspirational line. It has a saying that says, “His Time, His Way, His Story, His Glory.” The cute little bow can go either in the front or the back. 50 IS NOT OLD | BRINGING WINE TO CHARLESTONThe wine jeans are an old pair that I have had for a long time. I actually don’t know the brand because I don’t have this pair with me in Charleston. I will tell you that this is a huge color for this fall. In every store I went to shopping they were carrying this color. I tried to buy a new pair it a different style but every time I looked for my size they were so picked over that all they would have is a size 6 and a size 14. It was crazy.

50 IS NOT OLD | BRINGING WINE TO CHARLESTONI am taking every opportunity to wear my open-toed shoes that I can after all snow will be coming soon enough. These are a pair of ankle booties from Marc Fisher and I love them because they are navy, I don’t have very many navy shoes. I used to only have 1 pair of navy shoes, 1 pair of black shoes, and 1 pair of brown shoes. Boy, have those days changed.50 IS NOT OLD | BRINGING WINE TO CHARLESTONDid you notice my R+F tote? I love the medium blue color of this bag. I can throw samples and catalogs in this bag and be out the door. The buzz from everyone is all about the new product(s). What could it be? We are all having fun guessing and stating what we are hoping for. What are you hoping for? Do you have a guess?

    Hi Tania!
Really like the outfit! You mentioned breaking it down into navy and wine and I wondered…do you organize your clothes in your closet according to colors or style or do you have another system? Reason I ask is that you have so many different pieces, how do you keep it all straight so you know what you have?

Marie, Thanks so much. I do have my clothes in color order. I am super organized but I put all my blues together, blacks together, etc. I do that with my pants also. It makes getting dressed so much easier. I just go to the section I am looking for.

This is a fun fall look. I’m working my way up to wine pants…I’m pretty sure it will result in me wanting a matching beverage. Love the cardigan.
I’m hoping for a “lift and firm” product. I wouldn’t be disappointed if it was meant for full body use.😉

Margo, I just mentioned something like that on my personal Facebook page. I would love that!

Unfortunately, I am probably one of the least organized people you can find. I do put my clothes in color order though.

So glad you are feeling better! Would you mind mentioning the brand of the cardigan you are wearing? The colors are amazing!

I don’t have the cardigan with me, Marianne. I should have looked before I left, sorry. I would guess Umgee or a brand similar.

Oh funny story Tania about shopping with your friends! I too have to ditch friends and relatives while shopping b/c I have a blog to run! I did purchase my first pair of peep toe booties in tan this fall b/c they work so well when it’s too cold for sandals but too warm for boots. I love my tan color but I could see adding navy to the mix too. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love this outfit today! Loving the navy booties! I think it would be awesome if R& F came out with a makeup line! 🌻

Several people have mentioned that. Maybe, you just never know. They could have a line that is actually “good” for your skin. That would be cool!

Love the whole outfit! So glad the wine color is big this fall. I have always loved it. Just wanted to let you know that I have tried four times to sign up for your email list and each time it says I’ve successfully signed up and will get a conformation email, but I never get the email. I even checked my spam folder and nothing. Wish it would work. I’m hoping it’s just a fluke and that you aren’t missing out on sign up because of some glitch. Love your posts. You really make me smile.

Casey, that is very sweet of you to do that for me. When the confirmation email comes do you click on the link that basically confirms that you “Want” the email? Maybe I need to do an update or something.

        October 6, 2017

Tania, I never receive the confirmation email. That’s my problem. I keep looking for the email and even check my spam folder, and there’s no email from you. I know I’ve gotten lots of confirmation emails from other sites, so I don’t know why I’m not getting yours. : (

Ok missy, you sold me. I usually do not like the color wine, but the way you paired it with the navy top and the multi colored cardigan I am in love. So now I will think about wine not close to my face and work some multi colors with it. Hope this made since. lol

I’m 53 a stay at home mom of a 5 and 4 year old, I homeschool and don’t have a lot of time to shop. I use you, as inspiration to mix and match and shop online. ☺ Seriously considering R&F….I need help growing old gracefully. Have a blessed day.
