50 IS NOT OLD | RELAXED AND COMFORTABLEAre you set in your ways? Let’s be honest, how many of you are open to change? Are you the one who is standing at the door to get the newest iPhone or are you the one who is still clinging to the flip phone that you have had for years and years? I think that I fall somewhere in the middle when it comes to change. I like new technology, even though it might take me longer to catch on than a 20-year-old, but I don’t like something changing that I have been doing the same way for years.50 IS NOT OLD | RELAXED AND COMFORTABLEI really think change is a must. If things never change we would never grow and expand our knowledge. Can you tell that the new computer system we got back in June is still giving me fits? I swear that I am open to change, but when the same task now takes me three times as long, I don’t see that as a good change. In the back of my mind, I keep thinking that maybe I am becoming set in my ways as I get older. I don’t want to do that! I want to embrace the change, I want to dive in and learn all about the software, I want to keep evolving and not grow stagnant. I also want my old computer system back. Lol! So, tomorrow when I go back to work, I am going to have a better attitude and open my mind to new ideas. Since they are calling into my system tonight to do a server update let’s just hope I still have some hair tomorrow and I haven’t pulled it all out by the roots.50 IS NOT OLD | RELAXED AND COMFORTABLEThis is the last look in my denim jacket series. I have styled dressy and dressier but today I am styling relaxed and comfortable. This is probably the look that most of can see us wearing on the weekends or to the store. I wanted to wear a t-shirt but I couldn’t just wear something without color. Haha! I thought the bright pink in the v-neck t-shirt brightened the entire look and took it from blah to ahh. Mine is from Old Navy, it is several years old and it is almost paper thin since I have washed it so much.

50 IS NOT OLD | RELAXED AND COMFORTABLEI just got this jewelry in today so I had to show it all to you. This is the Breast Cancer Awareness jewelry that Plunder has come out with this month. Let’s start with these adorable earrings. These are the Pat earrings and they are a light pink. They are made of tiny seed beads and are about 3 inches long. 50 IS NOT OLD | RELAXED AND COMFORTABLEThe short necklace is the Lindy. I went to school with a Lindy. Lol! It is only 20″ long so it is one that is going to be shorter. The long necklace is the Shae and it is 32″ long. It has a large HOPE charm attached which is backward or sideways in every picture. You can check out the picture on the website to see what it looks like. The Carrie bracelet is one that I am thrilled with. I have felt like they needed more gold bracelets, well more bracelets in general. This one is multiple strands of gold chain on a magnetic bracelet. And finally the Broedrick bracelet in the pale pink bracelet on my left hand. Remember that all purchases over 75.00 excluding taxes and shipping, will get an extra piece of Plunder from me. Go to www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and pick on the party with my name. 50 IS NOT OLD | RELAXED AND COMFORTABLEWhite jeans are another staple that you need in your wardrobe. You will thank me later I promise. The old “don’t wear white after Labor Day” is no longer a rule. I will wear white jeans pretty much all year around. They go with everything and brighten up an outfit. I can’t imagine not having one or two or five pairs in my closet. Lol!

I too love my white pants and they do indeed brighten all outfits! Thanks:)

  2. Hi Tania, I really like the maxi-dress outfit and today’s white and pink look. I am going to get myself a denim jacket asap. I love learning too, boy oh boy has technology changed and improved in the last 20 years.

  3. Beautiful color combo Tania!!!! This is tough because a denim jacket can create so many different looks. My top three are pic 1 and 2 because they look great for Fall and pic 5 looks great for spring and early summer. Also, speaking of change, I too get set in my ways/pattern. Speaking of relaxed and comfortable…..I can get that way, not just in my clothing but in not wanting to change. ~Lisa~

  4. Enjoying your jean jacket posts. Went out and bought one yesterday!!!

  5. Today’s post is my favorite – I love the color of this outfit and feel I need to wear more color during the winter months as winter is so “blah” and I like wearing white after Labor Day as well – and yes as I get older change is more difficult for me and my grandson now tells me he cant teach me things because it will take me too long to learn – now thats a challenge for me to prove him wrong.

I get the eye roll from my kids when I am trying to learn things. Lol! They can be such smartie-pants some times.

  6. Love the maxi dress and today’s pop of color! I absolutely love a denim jacket – I have 3. Lol! Scouring thrift stores now for one – I want to get it embroidered and distressed, just don’t want to pay $$$$ for it! Have a great day!

I love the maxi dress look too. Good idea with the thrift shop.

  7. I love my jean jacket too and the evenings have been cool enough to wear it! Have I done any of these “looks”? Yes, I think I have the same cobalt blue t shirt dress and I have worn it with that and a scarf. I haven’t worn it with a maxi dress but I often wear it with a shorter dress. As yo are showing, there is so much diversity with it. What I Haven’t Done is to wear it with a longer tunic. I never think about wearing longer with shorter. That’s a new look for me to try!

  8. I like them all, but to pick my favorite it would be 1 and 5 . With you on the white jeans, they aren’t getting put away for fall, love wearing them with sweaters. 🌻

  9. I agree with Kathy—1 and 5. The first one with mustard surprised me with how fabulous all the pieces looked. Separately they are dull. The fifth one was no surprise. Bright white, strong pink, and gorgeous turquoise are always the right choice. Thank you for the time and effort you put into these series with the jean jacket. Good luck with the computer today.

Uggh, I had forgotten about the computer. I guess I better get going to work. Lol!

  10. Hi!!!!!

You look beautiful, sporty! Pink is your color! Gorgeous! Makes me wish it was Friday!

Tania, you look SO Happy and Fresh! All ready to face the world with a smile on your face! I ❤️That! Love EVERYTHING you have on, today!

    You’re a Doll! 👸🏼

  11. Your denim series has been so fun! They are all my favorite looks 😄 I’m a sucker for the pink shade you are wearing today, it calls my name!

  12. Do you know someone commented on my article for Sixty + Me that denim jackets were only for teens or people that worked with livestock? I was so surprised that someone thought that!
Because look how great it looks—in all of your examples. And even my mom (the 70+ model) has one!!

  13. I love denim jackets. I own at least 4 and 2 denim vests. Today’s styling is my favorite, going to wear it this way today! Thanks for sharing with all of us.

  14. Super cute! Going to have to pin them so I don’t forget the possibilities!!

  15. 1 and 5 are my favorite. I don’t have that mustard color and didn’t think I liked it but I really like it with the denim. I think I’ll be shopping for a top that color!

Today’s is my favorite. We have the same complexion and pink and turquoise are my favorite colors 😀

  17. Loved your jean series, so many looks with one item. Loved the maxi and the white pants outfit, dressy and casual. Just wondering, with Fall and Winter coming, is it appropriate to wear a shorter coat with tunics and longer shirts? Always wondered about coat length.

I really like them all ! Can’t decide between 3 and 5. I’ll go with 5. Great comfy look.

  19. I really enjoyed your jean jacket looks! You look great in all of them. Can’t wait to get my denim jacket I ordered. By the way Old Navy on-line is offering 30% off of everything and free shipping over $25. This is much cheaper than they are in the store! No wonder so many physical stores are having issues keeping business. 😮 After all your wonderful looks with the Denim Jacket, Old Navy won’t know what hit them! LOL

  20. Good Morning from California, Tania! You are the cutest and I love your posts! You have become such an inspiration to me! Thank you! And, we are alike in the ‘change’ department. I’m also hot and cold on technology when it comes to computers. We’re in this together, though! God bless you, girly!

  21. I love the variety of looks you put together with the denim jacket. My favorite is the one with the maxi dress. Honestly, I would never have thought to put that together, but I love. And, I am going to wear my maxi dress with my denim jacket tomorrow!!! Thank you, Tania!

  22. Talking about not liking change…I have a hard time pairing a denim jacket with a dressy dress. To me a dressy dress needs a dressier jacket than denim – it’s too casual. But I know that a lot of stylists do pair the denim jacket with a lot more than I thought you could, so I know it’s just me and I need to update my thinking! I can do that! Ha!

I don’t know the style name, Bammy. Does it show somewhere in the purse?

  23. I loved all the different outfits with the Jean jacket. I think today’s outfit with the white jeans is my favorite though. The idea that white after Labor Day is no longer true. My white pants go with so many different colorful tops. You use color with all your outfits. I really like the idea that you don’t have to give up color because of the season.

  24. You look fantastic in white. I had to give up my old white jeans and have bought so many pairs to try and replace them, but have yet to find one that I like, and that I don’t have to hem 🙂 Love when I see the same thing styled several ways to give me some ideas. Thanks!

  25. I love all of them! I’ve worn something similar to each one. Maybe we just have similar tastes?

Love your blog…I am only sad that Plunder does not ship to Canada….Love their necklaces and braceletes!

  27. This is a great series! It just goes to show that we don’t need oodles of clothes to change up a look – just a little styling know-how. I like them all a lot but if I have to choose, I’m finding I’m drawn to the first photo of you in the mustard top and burgundy pants. (I think it’s the Autumn colors that are getting to me this time of year.) You look great!

    Cheers,
    Deborah

  28. Love seeing the different combinations…have a Jean jacket that I seldom wear…now as the weather gets cooler I will have some great inspirations for wearing it. Love white pants but have not felt I should wear them since Labor Day..😳

  29. I have two favorites. I love the mustard and burgandy together and also the white and pink.
