50 IS NOT OLD | COLD SHOULDER, STRIPES, AND EMBROIDERYIt is back to the normal routine today. Thanks for the indulgence yesterday, I am sure many of you rolled your eyes when you saw the topic. Lol! I had a fabulous day though answering emails and private messages. But today I have more important things to do like take the dogs to the groomers. That is always an exciting adventure. Just in case you were wondering, that was sarcasm. 50 IS NOT OLD | COLD SHOULDER, STRIPES, AND EMBROIDERYLucy Lu, my stray that I have had for about a year, doesn’t like to be picked up. She gets really nervous and starts to shake even though she loves to be petted or sit in your lap. Getting her to sit still long enough to pick her up and calm her down takes some time. Then, with her in one hand, I have to try to pick Beckley up with the other hand. I am well aware that I could do one at a time and take them to the car but then I would have to make two trips. Haha! Driving to the groomers is equally fun. (more sarcasm) They argue and fight over who gets to sit in my lap. Lucy Lu is shaking so violently that she has to sit in my lap and Beckley is the oldest so he has to sit there too. It is really easier when they both are in my lap because then they lay down. Otherwise, they are growling and fighting and that is way more distracting. 50 IS NOT OLD | COLD SHOULDER, STRIPES, AND EMBROIDERYI told you that I had a cute outfit to show you. I bought this the day my “stalker” and I went shopping from the little local boutique in town. I had already paid and was heading out the door when Kim told me that she had gotten in a few new things. I should have left quickly but of course, I had to see what see got in. Lol! That led to me buying two more tops and this was one of them. I immediately loved the embroidery against the navy and white background. Stripes are huge this year, a cold shoulder is huge this year, AND embroidery is huge this year! Here is your trifecta purchase! This top is from a brand called Now N Forever. I know that Kim had several of these in stock but you will need to call or text her if you are interested because she never has her items on the website. That info is

50 IS NOT OLD | COLD SHOULDER, STRIPES, AND EMBROIDERYI really don’t like these close up photos but I do want you to get a good look at the earrings and shorter necklace. These Diana earrings are so lightweight that I thought they were made from a hard plastic but the other day I laid down one of my magnetic bling bracelets down on top of the earring and when I picked up the bracelet the earring came with it. I had no idea they were out of metal. Lol! The shorter necklace is called Rosemary. I really like the different floral design and all the tiny seed pearls. It is a real statement necklace. Plunder has recently added a new feature to their website. It is “Plunder Sets.” They have put the matching items all together and given you a discount when you buy it as a set instead of individual purchases. This necklace has a set and it is called Freesia50 IS NOT OLD | COLD SHOULDER, STRIPES, AND EMBROIDERYThe long pearl necklace is a lanyard called the Noah. I bought this for my daughter in Alaska and she wears it every day! I added the Lulu cross charm because Joe doesn’t require me to wear a name badge to work. Lol!!! It is time for a new party, now we are up to tania10.50 IS NOT OLD | COLD SHOULDER, STRIPES, AND EMBROIDERYI NEVER ever thought I would wear red pants. Red was a color that called attention to me and I shied away from that. Boy, how times have changed. I have grown in confidence over the years and found that I like red. I tried it one day and nobody said anything negative to me. I realized that “I” was the one that had the problem, not other people. Now I wear all colors with confidence and that shows. These pants are from GAP and they are made just like the Pixie Pants from Old Navy.

50 IS NOT OLD | COLD SHOULDER, STRIPES, AND EMBROIDERYYou will see me wear these t-strap sandals a lot this summer. I like the easy and casual look and I like that they slide on and off easily. I hate fumbling with the clasp when I am putting on shoes. This pair is by Tommy Hilfiger and I bought them a couple years ago. They are one of my “go to” sandals for summer.

50 IS NOT OLD | COLD SHOULDER, STRIPES, AND EMBROIDERY I thought you would like to have an up close look at the embroidery. 50 IS NOT OLD | COLD SHOULDER, STRIPES, AND EMBROIDERYThanks to all of you who placed orders yesterday with R+F. It was great to be able to share with you the skin care at a discount. It is not always about making money, although that is EXTREMELY nice, it is just as nice to be able to share the love. ❤️

  1. You always look so fantastic! I am a follower and love your post each day. I am the worlds worst dresser. I have had others comment on how pretty I am but wonder why I dress strange. I do not mean to I have learned a lot from you and I want to thank you for being a happy face each time I open up your email.

  3. Oh you look very nice in this combination! I wouldn’t change a thing! May God bless you, your family and your home with everything you need and most of what you want. That blessing leaves room to grow and be inspired I think and your writing inspires me every day! I would like to send you an email but I don’t know where to send it. I have difficulties with my eyes [which I believe the Good Lord can and will heal any day] which makes it hard for me to read very much print. Thank you.

  4. Good golly….what a fun and fabulous outfit. Love the look! You are looking great! Missed seeing you at convention.

I remember having that same thought about red pants about 5 years ago! Now even my step mom (the 60+ model on my blog) has a pair!! So they are for everyone!

  9. I didn’t see this top when we were shopping! Love this! Boutique had lots of cute stuff! This look is great for Memorial Day Weekend!

  10. Dear Tania ,my husband, will like to thank you for puting more color in my outfits !!!! lol .(even men are tired to look at us on dark colors).have a nice day !😎 👗👠👛

  11. Perfect for the upcoming holiday weekend! I have recently purchased a couple off the shoulder tops as well, and love them. I actually have another on order that hasn’t been delivered yet, I already know what shorts I’m going to wear it with this summer 🙂

  12. Another great look, i felt tge same about red pants. Will get the courage to wear red. Thamks for the encouragement!

I love this outfit!! I have red pants that are similar, but always looking for a cute top!

  14. I love this outfit. I always worry about wearing crop pants because I’m short (5’2). I’m new to your site and I love it! You always look so pretty!

You are too sweet, Kathy! Welcome to my blog and I hope you comeback daily!

  15. Love your blog & fashion. You have inspired me to “redo” my own style to yours as close as I can. Please keep the blog/stories coming. I love it❤️

  16. I read your page often and think you have a real knack for styling clothes. Generally I disdain those cold shoulder tops, but this one makes more sense, as the majority at the top is bare. Love the red pants, too.

  17. How lovely! ! Off the shoulder tops look pretty, but they constantly have to be adjusted. This look is perfect, and seems as if it would be comfortable without the constant adjustment when you raise your arm(s)! 😊

    • Tania Reply

This one was loose and you are right, it did not need adjusting all the time.

  18. I do like this outfit and I have seen the shirt somewhere before, I still feel funny sometimes when I where bright red pants or capri’s, like you it is time to get out of that feeling and move on. Glad you had a great Rogan anniversary.

  19. I love your outfit. You always do such a wonderful job with your clothes, jewelry, makeup, hair. I tried to order the top that you are wearing, but she was sold out. Sure wish she would get more in. Thank you for all that you do.

  20. Tania, What is the name brand of the top that you are wearing? Do you think it is possible to find it elsewhere. She is not have anymore when I emailed her. Thank you!

  21. So, so cute! I’m loving all the embroidery. My husband made some comment about his sisters and embroidered chambray shirts in the 70s. Yea….these items on pointe now are nothing like those. Just sayin’. I love my Noah lanyard BTW. I needed to retire my Baylor University one.

Tania, I have 2 questions; what bra do you use under off the shoulder styles, and how do you keep your hair from getting frizzy in all the rainy weather? Thanks for your help! Love your style!
