50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE WITH TWO SOLID COLORS Do you ever do something and you think to yourself, “I can’t believe I just did that?” I am going to go ahead and assume the answer is yes for most of us. My latest trick was yesterday after church. I had fixed me a small bite to eat and I wanted to have a Coke to drink. My children have always hated cold drinks. When my daughter goes to a restaurant she will order her drinks with no ice. She went to a basketball game one time and asked the gentleman behind the counter to run hot water over her can of Coke before he gave it to her. Because they like warm drinks we never put drinks of any kind in the refrigerator. 50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE WITH TWO SOLID COLORS If you want a cold drink at our house then you add ice. Voila! You have a cold drink! Anyway, there were three bottles of Coke sitting on the counter with varying amounts in them. I picked one up but I wondered if it was still good. I was afraid the fizz had gone out. I bet you are already jumping ahead to know what happened. Yep, I shook it up and could see that there was plenty of foam in the bottle so I started opening it up to pour into my glass of ice. It started spewing everywhere! Before I could tighten the lid back up I had coke all over the cabinets and running down into the floor. REALLY? Did I just do that???50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE WITH TWO SOLID COLORS How simple is this look? Everyone should have a navy shirt, sweater, or blouse. You obviously don’t have to have the “exact” one that I have. Mine is by Talbots and I bought this when I went to Florida one year. If you are buying a classic piece, something that you can wear for years, you can afford to splurge a little.

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE WITH TWO SOLID COLORS Guess who waited until the pieces were retired to put them on the blog? Ding, ding, ding!!! That would be me. I put off and put off ordering this set because I didn’t really think I would like it. I finally broke down and order the darn set and still I put off wearing it thinking I didn’t have anything to wear it with. When I decided to pair the peach pants with the navy top I remembered this set and went looking for it. It matched perfectly and I was so excited. I took the pictures but put off putting it on the blog because I was running the dress series. When I looked on the website to link to the set I was so disappointed. Mostly because I had let you down. Because I didn’t show you how cute this set was you missed out on it. Sorry!!!! I gave away “5” pieces of jewelry last night on FaceBook. Did you enter? If you are not friends with me on my personal FaceBook page then you need to remedy that. Lol! You can go to www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania7 and see all the new items that Plunder has added. I have three different orders already placed and I can’t wait to start getting everything in.
50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE WITH TWO SOLID COLORS I can hear everyone saying, “Change your purse!” I am just like you, I hate changing out everything in my purses. If I can make a purse work for a bunch of different outfits then I will. When I saw this dark teal purse I knew this was one of those type purses. This dark teal color just spoke to me. I had a feeling that I would be carrying it off and on all summer long. I don’t mind paying a little more for a purse that I know I will be able to use for years.

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE WITH TWO SOLID COLORS I like buying a solid color pair of pants. You can pair it with so many other colors and prints. In this case, I paired a solid with a solid and this added some interest with the accessories. This pair of pants is pixie pants from Old Navy that I bought last year sometime. I will buy colors that I consider “spring” or “summer.” I don’t always have something in mind to wear them with but I know that I will be able to find something. If they were printed instead of a solid, it does become a little more difficult. 50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE WITH TWO SOLID COLORS This has been a trying time for me with Rodan + Fields. They are changing out the website to get everything ready for the launch into Australia. BUT, that means we are having “growing pains.” I hate when they have to modify and update because there are always glitches. I remember when Plunder did this a couple months ago and it seems like it takes forever to have everything working correctly. If you place an order let me know so that I can double check to make sure it went though. The website is down until Monday at noon. I am betting that is noon Pacific time since that is where they are located. I am trying to just chill out and wait but it is hard for a control freak. Lol! I love that my blog has helped women come out of their comfort zones with color, that my Sunday posts have been an inspiration to some, and that my little side business, that was only meant for me, has instead helped many, many women feel better about their appearance.

Because the website is CRAZY, how about a Freebie post? Everyone who places an order for the Lash Boost (as a PC) will get their choice of a FREE Sunless Tanner, Sunscreen, or Body Moisturizer. You order both of the items so that they will be shipped to you and I will reimburse you the amount of the product you chose. Here is the link to Lash Boost. If you don’t need Lash Boost you can still receive one of these items when your purchase is equivalent to the cost of the Lash Boost. This will be good through April 30th. Must be something wrong with my tablet because every time you carry it it looks total blue to me. Thus I’ve come to really want a total blue purse! Ha!

The necklace was called the Winnie and it has been retired. You might be able to find someone selling it on Ebay.

  13. Love the simplicity and the two contrasting colors! Jewelry is something we can substitute as well…
