50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANS SERIESHello, gurls!!! For once I was looking forward to a Monday. This is a traveling day for me so I will probably not be answering a lot of comments. That doesn’t mean that you don’t get to leave comments because I will look forward to reading them when I arrive in San Diego. WooHoo!!! San Diego for a whole week! I bet Joe is still dancing a jig at having the house to himself. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANS SERIESI really love this blog and all the different ladies it has brought into my life. But, let’s face it, I don’t have a clue about what I am doing. Haha! I am attending the Social Media Marketing World convention and I will hopefully meet a lot of people who can help me in my endeavor. Don’t worry, I am not changing what I do as far as my stories and writing, I am just figuring out how to market myself in the internet world. Words like SEO, optimization, analytics, Alexa, Google rank, etc., all are things I need help with. I only hope they speak slow and don’t mind repeating themselves. I am not very computer savvy and I am afraid a lot of the words and terminology will go over my head. I better buy a tape recorder. Haha! Do they still make those things?50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANS SERIESI know that I will be super busy while I am out in San Diego so I thought I would do a series post. I did one a while back (herehere, here, and here) and everyone seemed to enjoy me showing you how to take a shirt and a pair of pants and turn it into several different looks. I thought a t-shirt and a pair of jeans was something that everyone owned. But, do you know how to change your look up so that it looks completely different? Can you take this simple outfit and make it casual AND dressy? You will be able to after this series. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANS SERIESAccessories are a HUGE game changer in every outfit. My look today is simple so I want my jewelry to also be simple. I wore a choker style necklace from Plunder that is new to me. I recently saw a picture of one of my Plunder sisters wearing this necklace and it looked so much cuter than it did in the catalog. You would think I would have learned that by now. This is called Fallon. This necklace will go with a wide variety of colors. The earrings that match the necklace is called Preslie. The long necklace I have on was a gift from Rodan and Fields. I wish I had an up close picture of this necklace. The turquoise stone is faceted and there is a hangtag that has R & F on it. Beautiful!50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANS SERIESThis is just a nice white t-shirt. I bought this at TJ Maxx, it is a Cynthia Rowley. Mine is a good weight and thickness, you can see I have on a bra (which is a good thing) but you can’t really see skin. I have some thinner shirts and when you wear those be sure to wear a camisole under them unless you like peep shows. Lol! My skinny jeans are a pair of stretchy Vigoss. This pair was bought at Marshalls instead of at Maurice’s which is where I normally buy my Vigoss jeans.  The shoes I chose for today’s look are Converse or Chuck Taylors, whatever you want to call them. I love this pair that has the polka dots on the tongue. I think these run large so I bought a size smaller.

50 IS NOT OLD | T-SHIRT AND JEANS SERIESSo here you go, the basic start to a wardrobe. We can now go to a more casual look or even a dressy look with just these two items. This week I am going to show you several different looks and I hope you enjoy this series. You will be able to mix and match yourself with items from your own closet. I hope you are as excited about this series as I am.

  2. I’ve enjoyed your previous series and I’m looking forward to more of you style ideas for a white tee and jeans. This look is a fabulous one for casual and so easy to throw on a cardigan if it’s cool. I hope that you have a great time in SD.

  6. Hi Tania! I follow your blog on Bloglovin’ and LOVE it. I have a lifestyle blog for midlife women called MySideof50. 8. Glad you are doing this series! I have a ton of white t-shirts in my closet, but they don’t stay white for long! I just bought a new one yesterday at Target, the Mossimo brand, so soft…love it! I love this Plunder piece and have been thinking of buying it, it is really cute!

  9. Looking forward to this series! I loved the last one and am looking forward to seeing your ideas. Have a great time in San Diego – that was our first duty station and we loved it!

  10. Great look! It’s very light and the plain match of white cotton with blue jeans is one of my personal favorites.

  11. Have fun! Love your look today. Can’t wait to see how to change up jeans and tshirts. It’s the outfit I like best!

  12. Have sooo much fun in San Diego! Love your look today – fresh and pretty, and put together. Looking forward to your series this week. Safe travels!

  13. Tania, cute outfit and great “accessories”. Now that I have seen what the necklace looks like I might have to put it on my “wish list”, LOL I did just send in an order, so I will have to wait.. Gurl, you are getting me in soo much trouble. LOL Have a great week. 🙂

    • Hahaha!!! Jeanne, I know what you mean. I think I have almost EVERYTHING in the catalog. A new catalog comes out in April so I’ll have to start all over again. Lol!

  14. Just started following your blog, now find I look forward to it each day!!! I am a nurse, so my wardrobe is severely limited to scrubs, so I enjoy seeing the different looks you come up with. I am older than you (62), but can still relate to your style. Have a great trip and keep up the good work!!!!!!!!

  15. Tania, you look cute in this outfit! Enjoy San Diego – my husband’s brother and wife live there and we love visiting them! Great city!

  16. You look so darn good which is nothing new! I hope you enjoy your trip! I have been wondering for the longest time what foundation do you use? Your skin always looks so flawless!

  17. I’m from San Diego so I hope you enjoy the heck out of your time here in America’s Finest City!
You have really inspired me in the last few months. I’m a breast cancer survivor and I’ve chosen no reconstruction. Therefore, I’ve had to rethink anything I ever knew about what’s good for my body when it comes to fashion. Thank you!💗

  18. I’m right there with you on the technology. My daughter keeps telling me she thinks I’d do great at blogging but the technology side of it absolutely flips me out; I don’t even want to go there. You look absolutely adorable in the tshirt and jeans with the chucks and the cute little pennant looking necklace. It’s all about the accessories in this outfit.
