50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017NO RED!!! I may be cured but don’t count on it. Lol! I thought you might be suffering from RED overload so I decided to give you a break, at least for a day or two. I was really liking the red but then I look at this more subtle, toned down look, and I like it too. I guess there is a time and a place for everything. I just thought to myself about when I was in school and you would get a note passed to you. Do you like me? Check the box below, and of course, you had a yes box and a no box. Do you like me better in red? Check yes or no. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017When I sit down at night I never know where my crazy brain will take me. Lol! From childhood romance to who knows what. I am feeling a little down in the dumps tonight. A friend of mine passed away suddenly and it was such a shock. Brad went with Joe and me to the New Year’s Eve party we went to and we had a blast. It is just so sad when someone who was so full of life and such a wonderful soul passes away. Brad was very stylish and he had to have a “shoe” picture with me at the party. I think he just wanted to show off his Gucci shoes. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017Even though I love my red booties, who could compete with Gucci? I conceded that he won. Haha!50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017Let’s talk about today’s outfit. It’s funny how an outfit comes together for me. I wanted to wear this sweater and that’s where it all started. From there I picked out the pants and then the top. The cashmere sweater is one by Isaac Mizrahi that I bought at the ————–. Did everyone one say, “overstock store?” Hahaha! Yes, I got it at the overstock store. I call it that because they purchase returns and overstock from QVC but when I called it the QVC outlet store it caused confusion. Some thought that it was an actual QVC sanctioned store which it is not. So the overstock store is as close as I could come to figuring out what to call it.

50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017My jewelry is shades of beige, pink, and gray. The necklace is called the Dalia and here is how I wore it before. I have on my Believe necklace which is my word of the year. I am looking at having some t-shirts made and I am working on what design I want. I can only find the Christmas t-shirts and I want something for the rest of the year.50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017The matching bracelet is called the Cecelia. I had ordered in some new jewelry which came in the mail after I took the pictures and one of the items is the Broderick which matches this set.
50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017I didn’t plan on carrying a gray satchel with this outfit but it worked out that way. I figured there was gray in my jewelry so that would be enough. Gray is a neutral and goes with almost anything. This satchel is by Aimee Kestenberg and I am not telling you where I bought it. Lol!!!

50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017I chose to wear my caramel Marc Fisher boots. I love these boots, they are as close to flats as I get and the color is fabulous. It is a dark, deep, caramel color and it looks so rich.

50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017My pants are the Harper by Old Navy. I bought these last year when they were on the clearance rack. Since they are the Harper line I sized down and they fit great. I really liked the way I wore these pants the last time and I worried about re-styling them again but I think this turned out alright. Which outfit do you like best? I know I like my tan better in the last one. Lol! I am going to start my tan right now!!!

50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017I think I have covered everything except for my crinkle camisole which I bought at Maurices. I love their cami’s and I try to pick up one or two every time I go there.

I have had lots and lots of messages about joining Plunder and Rodan and Fields this month. January is the perfect time to join and get your year off to a good start. Plunder is hosting an incentive this month which ends on the 31st. They are giving you an additional 3 pieces of jewelry, just because. If you want to sign up go to www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and hit the Become A Stylist button. If you need some more information then just message or email me.

Rodan and Fields is a company that is going places. It is a HUGE opportunity for someone looking to have a business from their home. The doctors have already paved the way with Proactive and it is pretty much a household name. You do not have to try to get them to understand that the products WORK! I am super excited to be building a team here in the US and I even have some ladies in Australia that are hopping on board. I would love to have a consultant in every state plus Canada. Ask yourself if you know anyone who has skin. That is pretty much the big picture. Everyone can use R & F so put the doubts aside and actually BELIEVE. Go to www.tstephens5.myrandf.biz and go down until you see the Be You Own CEO button. Email me with any questions at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com50 IS NOT OLD | SOAR IN 2017Sorry about my bra showing but I wanted to share with you the picture of me and Joe with Brad on New Year’s Eve. I told Brad that my word for the year was BELIEVE and he shared with me that his word for the year was SOAR. Soar high my friend, you will be missed. #soarin2017

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss Tania, my prayers are with you. It’s sad to lose someone so full of life… I like the pants both ways, they’re great. As for the overstock store, have they given you your own designated parking space yet? 😂

  2. I am very sorry for your loss. He looks so full of life.
I always love caramel boots and they look great with the pants!

  4. I’m so sorry about your friend Brad. I will keep his family and friends in my prayers. Both outfits look good but I really like the last one with the lace top. I still like red on you and looking forward to seeing your pops of color for spring. ~Lisa~

  6. Very sorry to hear of your loss Tania. My heart goes out to you. You look great as always although the last time you wore the pants was my favourite. Dont stop wearing the bright colours though. You look amazing in them!

  7. So very sorry for your loss. Prayers.

I love your red look. You rock red very well!!!

  8. I am so sorry about your friend, glad you have fun pictures and good memories. A dad of triplets at our school died suddenly on Monday and it has hit our community hard. Ugh, it’s been difficult this week.

    • Tania Reply

I can’t imagine how hard that must be for the family. Things like that do hit hard in communities. My friend had a larger than life personality and our community is taking it hard also.

  9. Prayers for your loss of a close friend. Each day is special and I am so glad you have memories of spending a fun time with him. All colors seem to work on you. You have master clothes styling well.

You look great in both colors but I like the tan combo. My kind of outfit. Sorry to hear your friend passed. Nice that you could spend time together and make memories.

Talk about bringing back memories. That word believe. When my friend had cancer, somehow I glombed onto that word and would buy her things that had Believe written on it. Wow… I hadn’t thought of that in years!!
I pick the yes—I like red button!!

  12. It’s so hard to lose a friend so full of life. Prayers to you all.
I pick RED. Yes, yes, yes. It’s my favorite color. And you look great in it. Most blondes do! My younger niece looks fabulous in it but doesn’t wear enough of it!!

  13. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. My prayers are with you and his family during this difficult time. I like the tan and blue together and I love all of your red outfits. Where is the overstocked store? I’m not crazy about ordering clothes online.

  14. Tania, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. It is a shock to the system when it happens unexpectedly. Looks like you have wonderful memories. Soar and Believe are wonderful words for 2017.

  15. So sorry for the loss of your friend. Wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time.

  16. This post was a lovely tribute to your friend. What a terrible shock that the news about your friend must have been. My sympathies to you and your family as well as to your friend’s family. And as usual, your outfit is fabulous and you look divine.

  17. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. But it’s good that you have such a wonderful current memory of fun times and even pictures. I like that his word was soar.

  18. I am so sorry for your loss. What a great word soar…and soar he is!

  19. So sorry for your loss! It’s so nice that you have a picture. Very nice choice today, I wear those colors often and it all started because of a camel and grey plaid scarf I have…..lol…..I love your cardigan!

You all looked SO happy in the New Year’s picture! I’m so sorry for your loss & his families’. I love this outfit – very sedate & warm looking. Your pants always fit so perfectly & mine tend to bunch up around my knees when I wear my knee high boots! I have short legs! I SO wish we had that store in our town!

((Hugs)) to you, Tania! Your friend had a great smile, and style, by the picture of the shoes. I’m very sorry for your loss! Please accept my condolences.
You look beautiful in every outfit, but it’s hard to top the beautiful red you had on in yesterday’s post.

  26. Tania,

I am so very sorry for your loss. As always, you are in my prayers. Friends are the family we get to choose, so losing them hits just as hard. Hugging you all the way from Texas.

  27. Oh hugs Tania! So hard to lose a friend. Thanks for sharing his spunk and shoe love. 🤗

  28. Hi Tania – I’m so sorry to hear about your friend! Saying good bye is never easy, less so when it’s unexpected, but the best thing about being close to someone is that you can pull up a memory when ever you like!
I stumbled upon your blog looking on Pinterest for some inspiration with my wardrobe and to build my confidence wearing things that make me feel beautiful at 54. 10 days ago I bought 3 of the old Navy Pin Tuck Swing Dresses (like the plumb colored one you had in a post recently) and am in love with all 3! I’m really enjoying your posts and the outfits, they’ve inspired me to look at my outfits differently. Now I’m thinking that I need to empty my closet and dresser of the clothes that don’t make me feel beautiful & go shopping! Thank you!

  29. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend, Tania. That’s always hard, especially when the person was young, as it looks like he was. I’m so glad you have some good memories, especially recent ones. Prayers for you.

  30. I am sorry for the loss of your friend. We just never know. A dear friend of my daughter passed last week suddenly. A mother with 3 young girls. All we can do is trust in God.
I’m so happy that I found your blog. I have been dressing so frumpy lately. I lost my oomph. You have me inspired. As for too much red? There is no such thing. You look amazing in it.
Thank you for your fabulous young looks!

  31. So sorry to hear about your friend, Tania!!!!! My heart goes out to you and his family!!!!
I really like your outfit today, specially the pants – I like today’s look better than the lace top!!!!! The boots are just great!!!! I love the grey bag, but I think I would have gone for a bag the same colour as the boots!!!! Your outfit is lovely!!!! And do you never have a bad-hair-day????!!!! LOL!!!!! With and without the curls, your hair always look amazing!!!!!!
    Have a great day!!!!
