Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 I hope everyone is ready for family, friends, and food. I suspect most of you are busy at the stove cooking and getting ready for the onslaught that is coming. Lol! I seem to remember Thanksgiving being so much more fun when I was a child. You just played with all of your cousins while your mother slaved away in the kitchen. Now Thanksgiving means getting to be with family, even if I do have to do a little cooking. It also means that it is time to start doing my Christmas shopping. I make out my list for those I have to buy for and then give me a budget amount to shoot for with each person. Some gifts are easy but have you ever noticed that there are some people that are hard to buy for? I will spend hours trying to come up with a gift that is unique and one that they will love. Let’s just say that I am not batting 1,000 in that department. When I first became a blogger I had very little expectation for my blog. I didn’t think that any one would find me in the vast blogging internet. I followed several ladies and had watched them style items that they had been gifted. I certainly never thought I would ever have a company “gift” me anything!!! The one item that I had coveted from those blogs was the wooden Jord watch. I loved the look of the watch and I remember thinking that it was unique and different and that I would just feel so special in that watch.Guess who contacted me? EEEEK!!! I am still on cloud nine. In my mind, this is the equivalent of winning the Oscars. Lol! I picked out a watch from the Frankie series. Mine is the Dark Sandalwood with the Emerald face. This reminded me of a bracelet with some style, not just a blah watch. The natural dark sandalwood is hand finished and pre-treated with tung oils. The Frankie is splash-proof but should not be submerged in water. It is extremely lightweight and I love that they help make sure you get the correct size. There is a guide that you download to see which size you would need. Here is a helpful tip, make sure you have your printer set to 100% and also in the landscape mode. Otherwise, you will get an email that tells you your wrist is incredibly large and they are going to have to add 4 or 5 links. Haha, I may or may not have had that happen to me. Lol! Click here for women’s and here for the men’s watches.I love that dial is large and you can easily see what time it is. I wear contacts to help me see far off, but that takes away my near vision. With this watch, I don’t have to have on my glasses to see the time. I can tell you this, if you have someone on your Christmas list that likes unique gifts, then you need to check these watches out. I know Joe would look good in one of the men’s watches. He may find one under the Christmas tree. This is the box it comes in. You can tell a lot about a product by just looking at the packaging. It has a little secret compartment with the extra links that they took out to make it fit. In case you ever have to expand your watch, the links are available.
Watches Made From Wood
It has its own little burlap pillow and hangtag. If you look closely you can see the film that is covering the watch face crystal to ensure that the face does not get scratched. You can see the grain in the wood if you look closely. This is an art piece. Here is a link to get an instant discount code.It is just a coincidence that my outfit just happened to have green as one of the main colors. Lol! I bought this top a little while ago at one of the pop-up truck shows. This is like a boutique that travels from house to house. They usually sell the clothing a little cheaper because they do not have all the overhead costs. This cute little top is by Umgee and I am wearing a medium. I like all the different designs in the top, it really is interesting. I am wearing a pair of Pixie pants from Old Navy. I liked this color so much that I bought it twice. Haha, I had forgotten that I owned this color and bought it again. Oh well, I wear it a lot in the fall and winter so now I’ll have a backup. The purse is a GILI with the most wonderful tassel attached. This one looks like it could be part of a riding crop.
The boots are by Marc Fisher and they have become my season favorites. I seem to be wearing them all the time.
