50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONHalloween is my daughter’s favorite holiday. She loves to dress up and she loves all the decorations. Christmas has always been my favorite but she couldn’t care less about any of the hoopla around Christmas. 50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONJoseph and Ashleigh are both October babies, so they have had Halloween birthday parties before. One year I decorated the entire yard in tombstones and even the dog had on a costume running around outside. It looked like a sword went through his neck. The children in the neighborhood loved it. Another year we sent a truck to a pumpkin farm and I had over 100 pumpkins in my yard. Joseph would get out and ride his motorcycle and weave in and out of pumpkins. It was so much fun!
50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONNowadays I am relegated to very little decorations, but I do try to “dress” for Halloween. I bought this cute skull scarf with my daughter in mind, but she said she didn’t wear scarves. That was a win for me! Lol! I wonder how many other over 50-year-olds there are out there running around with skulls around their neck. Haha50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONIsn’t this the cutest necklace? This was a surprise from Julie at Kay & Star. I was so shocked when I opened up my package and found this adorable necklace AND its two brothers. She not only sent me this necklace, but she sent two more in orange for my besties, Sandy and Bertha. That is just tooooo sweet. I loved the little guy and the hot pink beads really popped against my dark gray Linea top.50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONI have been carrying my Ella tote by Vera Bradley because of Breast Cancer Awareness being this month. I can’t believe how much I have enjoyed this tote, I have carried it all summer. I never knew that Vera Bradley had leather totes till I saw this one in the store in Orlando. This one is not even the large size, I think it is the small or medium size.50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONFor those of you who are saying, “I don’t have a pink purse,” I did a black purse option. I recently bought this G.I.L.I. black tote at the overstock outlet in town. I have other black purses, but this one kept crying out my name. I think the big long black tassel was my Achilles heel. Haha50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONI don’t have on a lot of jewelry, but I did put on this cute bracelet. It says, With Brave Wings She Flies. I thought this was appropriate because of Breast Cancer Awareness month.50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONFor this look, I brought out a pair of leopard print loafers. I wanted to wear something that was a little fun, and I thought these shoes fit the bill. Also, I really just wanted to wear some flats. Lol! I wear heels so much that I occasionally need to wear flats for my hips sake.

50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONI debated back and forth about what pants to wear. I thought about jeans, black pants, and even red pants. In the end, I decided on the white jeans, and I think I made the right choice. 50 IS NOT OLD | CELEBRATING HALLOWEEN IN FASHIONI’m off to Livingston for some birthday fun. Please say a prayer for safe travel. I’ll be traveling by myself, so I hope I don’t have any breakdowns.

What a fun outfit, just enough to enter into the spirit of things, no pun intended 😂 Prayers heading your way for a safe journey. Can we please see Sandy and Bertha modelling some fashions again?

I have been trying to wrangle those two together, but it is proving hard to do. Maybe when they read your comment they will come over for a fashion shoot. Lol!

What a cute outfit! I could duplicate that in a second, except with a pumpkin scarf. Skulls scare me!

I honestly don’t remember where I bought the scarf, it has been a couple years ago. The nail color is a dark brown, I didn’t see a name.
