I think navy and gray are classic colors. These colors are almost as classic as wearing black and white. Navy and gray are not quite as “stark” and are easier to wear for most people, than black and white. I own a lot of blue items in my wardrobe, but my navy pieces are usually jackets or cardigans. As I have gotten older, I prefer my navy and black items to be father away from my face. These colors seem to make lines and wrinkles show more, and nobody wants that!I am continuing with the gray color theme today for my UK readers. The gray is obvious today, where as yesterday’s outfit was a little more subtle. When I think about gray, I think about dark clouds, fog, gloom, and dank. But I don’t see anything gloomy about this outfit. I guess that goes to show you, that even colors are judged wrongly. 😛This top is new. I bought it the other day at the QVC outlet store in town, and yes I only paid $12.00 for the top. It is really cute, and one that can be layered under jackets or cardigans. I will wear this top this fall over leggings, and will just add a cardigan for warmth. This top is by LOGO by Lori Goldstein. I like that is has wide tank straps, that way your bra straps do not show. I hate having to wear a strapless bra. I also like that it has pockets, and the double ruffle at the bottom. I looked up the style number on the top (thanks for telling me about that) it is A212542, but QVC says it is not available at this time. Sorry, so I am linking to some other LOGO tops that I like.
LOGO Top: Vest | Dress | TopI have on two necklaces from Plunder today. The shorter bird necklace is called the Miley. It has the crystal drops and the pendant that says, “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.” The long necklace is a new one that I ordered at the end of last month. I thought I would like the necklace, I have a thing for keys, but I was surprised at how cute it was. It is made in a way that you can also wear it as a choker. It is called the Quincy.I was trying to show you a little better how many keys are on the necklace. I can see from the photo that I had some of them over lapped, but you get the idea. The pearl drops that are with each key, just match the pearl drops on the feather and pearl bracelet. Do you think that was by design? Haha My dark gray flats are by Sole Society. The t-strap, and the studs, are what make these shoes stand out. The last time I wore these shoes, I wore them with bright coral. They REALLY stood out with that outfit. Lol!You know me, if I have on navy, I will probably have yellow close by. I am always telling you gurls to try something new, and then here I am reverting back to my old habits. I guess this is one of those “Do as I say, not as I do” things. I am linking to a few bright yellow purses, all under 50.00. You might not want to invest a ton of money in a purse you might not carry often.
Yellow Satchel: Steve Madden | Chloe Tassel | DaseinThis light gray lattice print pair of ankle pants are one of my favorites. The color is soft and the print is appealing. The only problem with a printed pair of pants, is that you will remember seeing them. So if I wear this pair again, it is noticeable. If I wear a solid pair of pants, nobody will pay any attention. If you have a small wardrobe, then buy solid colors and accent with accessories. If you have a larger collection of clothes, then buy items with details.
Printed Ankle Pants: Jacquard Print | Geometric Print | Lattice Print | PlusBeckley is checking out my shoes, I think he gave it a “paws” up sign. At least he didn’t hike his leg. Lol! Quick story, one day Bertha (BFF) came to the house, I think we were going to my Mom’s for a vintage fashion show. We went back through the house to get something, and then we started loading the car. Bertha had taken off her boots when she came in, (I have no idea why) and when she went to put them back on, Beckley had “marked” her boots. Lol! Bertha has a dog at her house, so Beckley smelled it’s scent, and decided to show his displeasure. Now when Bertha comes to my house, she keeps her shoes on. Hahaha!
