WEDNESDAY’S WARDROBE FIRST LINK-UP

50 Is Not Old | Wednesday's Wardrobe #1I am always linking-up with different blogs that I like, so I thought I might try my hand at a link-up. If you are not sure what I am talking about, it is a place where bloggers can get together and you, the reader, can go to find a whole host of bloggers all in the same spot. It is wonderful for everybody. Bloggers have an opportunity to reach a different audience and the reader gets to see blogs they might have never seen before. 50 Is Not Old | Wednesday's Wardrobe #1Today is really just a test to see if I can get the link-up tool up and running. I have not advertised it, nor have I sent out emails. I wanted to make sure I could do it first, so there may not be many who link-up. If you do have a blog though, I would appreciate you trying to link-up so that I can see if it works.50 Is Not Old | Wednesday's Wardrobe #1I am still staying with the blue’s for this post. How do you like this top? I just now noticed that these two tops don’t go together. They look alright, but the sheer topper actually goes with another top. Haha I can’t believe I wore this all day and never noticed. I guess that just goes to show you how crazy I am. The top underneath is by Talbots, and was purchased last year. The sheer topper goes to a different tank top, and they are from DressBarn. I bet you wouldn’t have known these two didn’t go together if I hadn’t told you.

Tank Top w/Topper: Similar | Similar | Plus50 Is Not Old | Wednesday's Wardrobe #1I have on a short necklace (similar) with my initial that I bought at a coffee shop in Marietta. It is by Monarch Inspirations. The longer necklace is the Rebel by Stella & Dot. I have on a Chloe & Isabel bracelet (similar) and a pair of earrings. The bracelet with the bling is by Plunder. The final piece of jewelry I have on is a vintage mother-of-pearl bangle in white and blue.50 Is Not Old | Wednesday's Wardrobe #1I have on a pair of light blue skinny ankle pants by Talbots. They were purchased at the same time as the top above. My shoes are by Marc Fisher and the purse is a Dooney & Bourke. Both of those were purchased at an outlet store in town that has QVC items.

Pants: Plus | Crop50 Is Not Old | Wednesday's Wardrobe #1The lovely backside view. At least you get a better view of the cork wedge heel.50 Is Not Old | Wednesday's Wardrobe #1That’s it for today’s look. I think it turned out pretty good, considering. Lol!

  1. Very pretty outfit! I wouldn’t have known that these were not matching tops. They look great together. Blue is a gorgeous color on you! I love DressBarn. I modeled their clothes in a few of their fashion shows. I was impressed by the quality of their clothing.
I’m sure your Link Up will be a success.

    • Hi ladies, I am maybe a little bit dumb (being a blonde and a technophobiac at the same time ;)), but would you be so kind and explain me how this works? Shall I create an account with Inlinkz, or just click on the “frog-icon” and copy there link to my blog? And where should I mention Tanias blog…sooo many questions, but please help.

      • Hanka, you just click on the frog-icon. It will flip you to the other bloggers. Hit the add my link button. It will take you to a couple spots. You highlight your URL to your actual post and paste it in the first slot. When you hit enter, it will fill in the second slot. The third slot is for your email. Then you pick to add a photo from the web slot. Your photos that are listed in your blog post will show up. Select one that you like best. You will probably have to crop the photo because it will only show a thumbnail. If you don’t like the one you picked, you can keep selecting till you find the one you want. Last hit the done button and you finished. If you want to add a different post, then click the add another post. If you are finished and want to leave a comment, then click the take me back to the link-up. I am thrilled to see the button worked!!!

  2. I like what you did with the top–creative and feminine.

I no longer blog so can’t help test the link up but hope it is successful.

    Thanks for making my day!

  3. Dear Tania, thank you for you advice. I have tried it but messed up the part od selecting the photo I like best and now it is not possible to change it. Nevermind 🙂
    Have a nice day!
    Greetings from Switzerland!
    xoxo

  4. You look fabulous! I love link ups even though I don’t have my own blog! So glad you started this and I know it will be wildly successful!

  5. Love the blue on you. The tops look great together! I don’t blog so can’t link but so love reading all of yours. Keep up the good work.

  6. Thanks for this! I found you from a link up and have shared your blog and spunky attitude with my “over 50 ” friends!!

  7. Girl you need to just smile and take complements. The tops are great together even being told they don’t match I can’t see it. You have a great eye for color & style.

  8. I say it all the time, but you look fab in blue! I was just going to purchase those shoes. They only have cognac left, but still a good color…….they only have 9 and 9.5 left. Too big. Bleh.

Link parties are fun! Busy now, but will check them out later today. Blessings!

  9. Blue is my favorite color so I’m really loving this entire out fit. Very soft and feminine, perfect for you.
