50 IS NOT OLD | BLUE WHITE & FLORALI’m loving this outfit. I actually like everything single part of the outfit, and that doesn’t happen often. I have had this top for awhile, but have never worn it because it is sleeveless. But today I picked this to wear because I wanted to wear my second leather bracelet from Jewels of the Vineyard50 IS NOT OLD | BLUE WHITE & FLORALCheryl from Jewels of the Vineyard sent me two bracelets last week, I wore one on Wednesday, and I wore one today. The first one was a large cuff bracelet from the Oakville Collection, and the one I have on today is a Blue and White Bracelet from the Stag’s Leap Collection.
50 IS NOT OLD | BLUE WHITE & FLORALSome of you mentioned you had difficulty navigating the website, so I am going to walk you through my process. Follow this link to the website, then under the large picture, hover on “the shop” tab. You will then get the drop down links to choose from. I looked through all the collections, the Chiles Valley Collection  is for men.50 IS NOT OLD | BLUE WHITE & FLORALThe band of the bracelet is white and the stones are varying shade of blue, with silver accents. Like the first bracelet, this is also a magnetic closure. That makes is easy to put the bracelet on and take off. This style bracelet would be great to even stack one or more together.50 IS NOT OLD | BLUE WHITE & FLORALI chose colors that I thought would be easy to wear this spring and summer, but I have my eye on a couple that I think would be wonderful this fall and winter. 50 IS NOT OLD | BLUE WHITE & FLORALThe pink of the cardigan helps to show the bracelet off. The code that Cheryl gave only to you gurls is good till May 4th. So when you get ready to check out, use the code 20off for a discount of 20%.
50 IS NOT OLD | BLUE WHITE & FLORALThe sleeveless top is one that I bought at Classy Closet a month or so ago. It is by a brand called Umgee, and is soft and flowy.

50 IS NOT OLD | BLUE WHITE & FLORALI bought this cardigan from Jane.com. This is an online website that has some great deals. I will warn you though that the sizes seem to run small. I think these are geared more toward a junior sizing.

Crop Leggings: Similar | Nicer Similar50 IS NOT OLD | BLUE WHITE & FLORALI carried my blue tote that I bought from TJ Maxx and wore my floral wedge shoes that I bought at DSW warehouse in Atlanta. I am not a huge lover of florals, so these were out of character for me. Since the colors in the top and the colors in the shoes are the same, they go together even though they are different patterns. That is pattern mixing 101. Lol!

Remember to use the code 20off when shopping Jewels of the Vineyard. This weekend is another busy time for me. My mother and Donna will be coming in to put on a vintage fashion show for a fundraiser for our woman’s club. My daughter-in-law, Kayla, will be one of the models, so you may see a picture on her blog next week.

You will want to check back on Saturday when my sister gets to do a story for you. I have been busy telling stories on her, so come Saturday she gets her chance. Of course, I have veto power, so don’t expect to hear anything too crazy. Haha

The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.

  1. Very pretty!! I think I am confused regarding the leggings. Are they used to be paired with dresses or tunics? I love your blog. I would love to purchase Everything! – ( and i certsinlt cannot do that!). , but , i have purchased a few things from the shops you refer us to. Although some of the outfits / accessories are a tagd too much $$ for me
But i love what can afford and am s greatful to you for givings up the option to “buy for les”. Kee up the good work!

Barb, I use leggings under anything that I feel is too short to wear along. As long as the top/dress covers my tush, then I can wear pants or leggings. I try to take price into account anytime I link an item. I have to make myself link items that are a little more expensive because I know some people like better items and are willing to pay for quality. Thank you for following.

      • Oh my. I really have to double check my posts or shut off auto correct!!! Thank you for replying.

    • I hope you did not take my comment in a negative way 🙁 . I am very grateful for all the work you put the into your blog and that you also include old navy , target, jcp, as resources 🙂

I thought your comment was fine. I did not take it as negative at all. Thank you for taking the time to comment:)

  2. I totally adore this outfit! My kind of colors. You’ve given me some great ideas for what to wear today. Have a wonderful day, too!

  3. RReally cute top and I love the soft pastel colors. These colors are very flattering. You look great! Like you, I think every part of the outfit is adorable! Have a great day and weekend!

  4. Such a cute outfit for a spring day. I like it all. Especially the top. I would never have thought to wear it with leggings but it’s such a pretty look. Thanks so much for sharing your fashion expertise with us. I’ve learned so much.

  5. I have tried 3 times now to order a leather bracelet and cannot get it to take the discount code. Their site does not work very well,. Really nice things, but if you can’t navigate the website, just frustrating.

Sorry Mary Ann that you are having problems. I will contact Cheryl and let her know there is an issue. Thanks for letting me know.

      • I finally got it to go through. Can’t wait to get my bracelet.

    • Hi Mary Ann. I’m so sorry you had trouble but I did see your order come through this morning. The code should be applied in the cart. Maybe that’s where the difficulty was? But, I’ll certainly look into how the site is functioning. Thank you for the purchase!

  6. LOVE this. Headed to WalMart now to get leggings. Also, I might even have to start changing purses for each outfit, and I NEVER do that. You are a bad(good!) influence on me.

  7. Love your outfits and thank you for the inspiration and ideas you give everyday on your blog! The pink floral shoes are awesome with this outfit!

  8. So pretty and well coordinated! That flowy top is lovely. Wish I could wear something like that, but it wouldn’t look right on this 38D gal. : (

  9. Cute, Cute, Cute!!! I love this outfit on you… You have the BEST STYLE!! I look forward to your blog each morning. Oh, and I love the bracelets. I can’t wait to look at the website for Jewels of the Vineyard. She has some gorgeous designs.
I’ve never left a comment before, but you always look so put together…

  10. You look so pretty in the colors of the Spring palette ( like Color Me Beautiful in the old days…now there are multiple seasons and I can’t figure them out-lol!) Love the coral and blue!

This is so cute!!! I need to go get a pair of white, cropped leggings. I know right where they are at my Walmart, haha. And I discovered Jane.com this winter and have gotten a TON of stuff from there. It’s great!!!!!

  12. Kristine Newberg Reply

I love the Umgee brand, but be careful when you wash it. Their stuff seems to shrink up – a lot! Either wash it by hand or on delicate cycle and do NOT put in the dryer. Or to be extra safe, just dry clean. Cute outfit!!

  13. Very sweet outfit, love the tote! At some point I think you asked for ideas on what to post . . travel wardrobe for 14 days in one carryon suitcase would be a boon for me. I always overpack and struggle to come up with pieces that can be used in multiple ways to minimize what I take. Thanks and keep up the fabulous job – you inspire me to get out of my four favorite (read, grab and go because it doesn’t take thought) outfits!

    • Tania Reply

I have been working on a “packing” post. I am just terrible at getting everything together.

    • I would love a lesson on what to pack. I always pack too much!
Id love to be able to only use a carry – on for a four day trip.

  14. Really love this outfit! Love all the pieces and have been trying to find a pair of white leggings to wear with my Umgee tops. Most white leggings do not get great reviews! I started following your daughter-in-law, even though seems much younger than me, and I enjoy her posts also.

I want to be your new BFF! I need style help! I woke up this week and realized I’m over 50! It hasn’t been pretty! See, it makes me cry at random moments! 😂 So glad I found you!! Can’t wait to read and check out your blog and Pinterest and everything!! Let the stalking begin!! (Only kidding there, of course…I mean appropriate social media stalking of course!)

love this but, I’m really too short for cropped pants or cropped leggings.. what do you suggest wearing for a summer look? Ankle pants? or what

  17. So much cute here! One of my favorite color pallets for Spring/Summer. And the blue bag is perfect with it.

  18. Tania, not sure if you ever get comments on older posts but will try. I am going to step out of my comfort zone after seeing so many of your nice outfits with leggings. I found your link to Amazon for the HUE capri ones and am about to order them. Would you suggest going up a size? Since a diet recently, I am unsure about size but seem to run a solid medium in QVC brands. Thought at least trying the large but perhaps XL would fit better. Don’t want the muffin top to pop out any more than it is. Thanks!. I will try posting this on the current day blog, too.

    • Tania Reply

Audrey, no problem with the comments, they show in order that they are made. I know from personal experience I wear smaller sizes in QVC items. I’m not sure why, but that is almost always the case. I usually buy a large in leggings, if they have a size. Some leggings are just one size fits all. For size reference, I am 5’6″ tall, weigh around 155, and will normally wear a size 10 in pants. Good luck, and I am happy to hear you are stepping outside your comfort zone.
