50 Is Not Old | Leather Cuff BraceletDo the words leather and feminine go together? I have to admit when I think of leather, the first things that come to mind are usually belts, shoes, or purses. I have a few leather bracelets, but they are the masculine type that you wear with jeans and a plaid shirt. I even have one that is made from an old belt.50 Is Not Old | Leather Cuff BraceletSo, when Cheryl from Jewels of the Vineyard contacted me, I was interested but not over the top thrilled. My first thought was, “Sure, I could use another leather cuff bracelet.” The email sat in my box for a day or two before I got around to looking at her site. My mouth gaped open at the beautiful creations she hand made. I am not kidding you, when you visit her site you better have a little time to spend, because you will want to look at EVERYTHING!50 Is Not Old | Leather Cuff Bracelet

I love it when narrowing down your choice is hard. I kept going from one bracelet to the other. She has so many colors and styles to choose from, and they all scream feminine. She uses leathers from Spain, Greece, and Italy, and beads from all over the world. Cheryl is a true artist! It is just hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that she actually hand made my bracelet, it is that good.50 Is Not Old | Leather Cuff Bracelet

I finally narrowed my choices down to two. I am styling one of them today, and the other one will soon follow. She didn’t ask me to post so soon, I was just anxious to wear them. This one is from the Oakville Collection and is called the Large Leather Cuff Bracelet. It is comprised of 4 different leathers, in a couple different sizes. The two wider straps are solid colors of light blue and white, while the two smaller straps are quite a bit more decorative. One strap is white and covered in tiny white pearl looking beads and the other is a strap that looks like it has scales. Three of the stone slides have a pearlescent look, while the fourth one is comprised of tiny faceted crystals. 50 Is Not Old | Leather Cuff Bracelet

The topping on the cake is it has a magnetic closure. If you are like me, that is BIG! I hate trying to put on bracelets, especially with my fingernails, that don’t have a magnetic closure. Each bracelet comes with its on polishing cloth and drawstring pouch for storing. These are high quality bracelets. The website does not do them justice, they are waaaaay more beautiful in person. Also, now for the arm twisting part, a 20% discount if you enter the code 20off at checkout. That code will be good till May4th!50 Is Not Old | Leather Cuff BraceletI couldn’t wait to wear this bracelet so I picked out a top that I thought would go with it. This light turquoise front tie top is by New Dimension, and I picked it up a month or so ago at Belks. They have the best sales, you just have to wait for them. This was already marked down half-price, and then you take another 25% off of that. I hate it when they twist my arm. Lol! Here is a similar one in misses, and one is plus size. The pants are very old. They have a linen feel and look, but not the wrinkles of real 100% linen. Here is a pair of dress pants that come in several colors and sizes. Sorry, I could’t find a pair like mine. The Marc Fisher shoes are a pair I have worn several times already this year. (Here and here) I really like the wedge style, the gold rings, and the color. They go with everything, and look so casual and still dressy at the same time.50 Is Not Old | Leather Cuff BraceletI am carrying my caramel brown Dooney & Bourke purse. I haven’t carried it in a while, and it looked sad. I just hate a sad purse. Even though the browns are not the same in the shoe and the purse, they still “go” together. There is even a little brown in my Chloe & Isabel necklace if you look close. Remember to type my name in the “Find a Merchandiser” box, if you order from Chloe &Isabel. I can tell you this, if I ever get another message from Cheryl, it will not set for a couple days! And I will be Over-The-Top-THRILLED!

  1. Love the bracelet! I love the magnetic closures. I’ve started wearing more bracelets lately. I agree with what you said about Belk. They do have the best sales. Both outfits I’ve worn this week so far are Belk purchases. The Kim Rogers line is my favorite. I have been telling friends to check out your blog. Have a great day!

  2. I am in LOVE with these bracelets!!!! They are exquisite!! Can’t wait to order one – it’s hard to choose and several of the ones I love must be loved by others because they are out of stock. I will find the right one for me, but of course I have to look at everything before I decide. I really like the magnetic closure and the fact that they are bendable makes them comfortable to wear working at a computer all day. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Love the outfit even the “sad” purse looks earthy which is my style! Jewels of the Vineyard website I found to be difficult to navigate. I love your choice and found one I would consider but didn’t order just yet. I actually got tired searching may go back and revisit for my selection. I Enjoy your style so I will be subscribing to your blog. Found you through Jane Lynn blog.

  4. Thanks for the introduction to Jewels of the Vineyard….I had sticker shock at first, lol, but it is handmade with high quality materials and is definitely unique. I love unique!!! Now I have to convince hubs that I “need ” one!😉😊😂

  5. I think I’ve only commented once or twice. I’m not yet 50…almost, hanging onto those little bit of 40’s ha ha. I love your style, and your sense of humor. Love your bracelet, it goes perfect with your top. As always, you look great.

  6. I just adore the color and style of your blue top. Always fall in love with what you are wearing and then am somewhat disappointed when there isn’t a link for the exact thing, but I do appreciate that you include links for other options , including plus size suggestions. Most of the fashion blogs I read, do not do that, and I think it is a nice additional thing that makes you stand out (even though I don’t wear plus size myself, I’m sure many woman do). Love your blog, and have added it to my “top 10 daily reads”.

  7. Lovely work outfit. I will definitely look at her bracelets. Very pretty. And, yes, I think leather can be feminine.

  8. Really like today’s outfit! Love the bracelet, looking for a gift for my sisters birthday. I think I will check this out, very unique.

  9. I just thought I should let you know, …the shoes you’re wearing in this post I had admired several posts ago when you wrote about getting them from QVC. They were indeed, on sale, I purchased them and am LOVING them! They go with so many of my different outfits, just as you too have shown on your site. I appreciate how you wear the same clothing items styled in so many different ways. It’s a relief to not see new clothes every day that most of us cannot keep up with. Much rather see the same items mixed and matched in different ways to help give us ideas to boost our own wardrobes. Keep up the great ideas!

    • Thanks Diana. It is rough looking through my closet to see what I might not have worn before. Shoes and pants are two items that I will wear multiple times, tops are something I have more of.
