DSC_0001 It’s a rainy Sunday here in the mountains, and nothing is more beautiful. I love going out on my porch in the mornings (while Beckley does his business) and just looking up in the mountains, especially in the fall. The leaves are just starting to change, but they will soon be all the brillant colors that are in my skirt. Sunday fashions are different now, than when I was younger. Do you still think of the Church Lady on Saturday Night Live when you think of Sunday fashions? Women hardly ever dress in all their splendor, including hats and gloves, for church these days. Women are now even wearing pants to church, not only on Wednesday and Sunday night, but Sunday morning as well. I just can’t bring myself to follow that trend. It is ingrained in my being to wear a dress. Dresses in general are not something I wear often, but I enjoy getting dressed up for church. The service I attend starts at 8:45, so my Sunday fashions are sometimes thrown quickly together, and my hair is usually the hold and spray method. Believe me, a good hairspray is a necessity!DSC_0006 I felt that my skirt was a little long, so I tied a knot in it to “hike” it up a notch. Besides, I wanted these boots to show, they are so beautiful. I looked for the name of the boots, (I’ve had them a while) but all it said was Made In Italy.

DSC_0020This beautiful skirt is another Cato’s find. I paired it with a yellow/gold/mustard tank top, and a wine/burgundy/maroon Isaac Mizrahi blazer. I love the paisley design and the maroon band at the bottom. This skirt would look good with so many different colors. I may try it with purple the next time.DSC_0009 I love adding a little vintage to my fashion, so I decided to wear a large necklace. It is gold toned, and looks a little egyptian to me. It is not signed, but it looks like a designer piece. The bracelet is my very favorite piece of bakelite. It is a philadelphia style bracelet, and according to Collectors Weekly, that is the most collectible type of bangle. I just think it is pretty.DSC_0012 A closer look at the necklace. DSC_0014 A little better look at the bracelet. DSC_0016 Look who decided to make a cameo appearance.DSC_0017 DSC_0018 DSC_0019He makes me smile!!!
