DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICON

50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONI LOVED having National Comment on My Blog Day yesterday. It was a blast reading all the comments. Answering all the comments might be more difficult. What I have decided to do is answer all the comments on the blog on Friday when I announce the winner of the $75.00 Plunder shopping spree. When I saw how many comments there where I didn’t think anyone would want to go through all of them for the answers. This is a good problem to have.50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONI am sitting on the couch with a heated blanket, a fire going in the fireplace, and my laptop in my lap. All this while I am watching the College Football playoffs. So if this blog post makes no sense at all, you know why. Lol! I am a Tennessee Vol fan so I find it difficult to cheer for Alabama. However, they are a SEC team and they no longer have Lane Kiffin as a coach, so I’ll at least think about it. Hahaha If you are not a college football fan, let’s just say that Tennessee and Kiffin are not friends.
50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONThis tunic top is a little bit on the wild side. The colors are bright and just perfect for brightening up a yucky rainy day. At least it is rain right now, but snow might be on the way soon. This tunic is by Christian Caliendo and I bought it from the same little boutique in town. The top I have on here is by the same designer.

50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONI think my hair is getting a little too brassy looking so I am going to change things up a little the next time I go to the hairdresser. I like the copper highlights but I am going to go away from the large chunks and lighten the blonde highlights some. I am already starting to think about spring and summer. I have on my Ashton earrings which are the perfect length for my hair. If I don’t wear bolder earrings they tend to get “lost” in my hair. I also have a couple necklaces on today. I am still learning the art of layering but the Annie necklace makes it easy. 50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONThis is one of Plunder Designs most popular necklaces but I hardly ever wear it. This is called the Anita and the charms all come with the necklace, except for the believe pendant, I added that. Also, the round charm is a working locket and is perfect for those of you who use essential oils.
50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONYou can see that I still have my gold glitter fingernail polish on that I did for New Year’s Eve. It finally shows up against the dark brown reptile print GILI handbag. Do you call them purses, totes, handbag, etc? I say purse.

50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONOkay, I know the first thing you thought when you saw this outfit. Tania has Donald Duck legs. Lol!!! Here is the deal, I don’t always wear what I think would look best with my outfit. Sometimes, I wear something to stretch the boundary. The best look would have been a pair of navy leggings or jeans, but I wanted to show that you can pick a color in a pattern and that it would work. It is just unfortunate that the color happened to be “Duck.” Quack, Quack!50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONOn to the boots. Notice I didn’t link to the leggings. I figured, why would I bother? Haha! Anyway, the boots are by Marc Fisher and they a flats. What caught my attention was the color. I normally go for a brighter brown or caramel, so this dark brown pair was something that I didn’t have in my closet. I like the dark but I still like my caramel colored ones better.50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONThis might not be your favorite look and it is not mine either. But before I write if off completely, I will have to try it with the navy leggings. I’ll be sure to let you know what I think. If it looks good I might even take a picture.

Oh Tania, you do make me laugh 😂 When the title of your blog post pops up I never know where it is heading! Love the handbag, love the boots, the leggings will have to grow on me!

    Tania, what a quacktastic outfit!

You encouraged me months ago to wear leggings and now they are my casual staple Love how you’ve styled them here.

    Have a blessed day!

Howdy again from Texas!! I love the Anita necklace. If anyone reading this wants the perfect piece they should pick the Anita. I have a smaller frame and the length was perfect. Plunder jewelry is very adjustable so the length is less of a worry.

Thanks for the input Paula. I am 5’6″, so a different perspective is appreciated.

I love your blog! I start my day reading it on Facebook. It helps me decide what I’m going to wear to work.

I am very short. And when I wear tunics I look pregnant. Should I just stay away from them?

Hi Robin, I’m short too but you can wear a tunic, you just have to find the right cut. Don’t give up! They are a fun option to wear.

I like the color of the leggings! They really add a punch of color and I never would have thought of Donald Duck! You look great!

Love the outfit! I love the color combo!! However, living in So. Cal, I’m a Pac12 fan and was so glad Bama was beat!!! Love Dabo Sweeney and Deshaun Watson’s glory to the Lord! Just sad college football is over!

This is an interesting outfit with lots of design elements going on. At 5’4″ I would wear navy for a more elongated line! Also, no reptile print on or near my body as I have a fear of snakes, tho I like the hobo design of the PURSE 🙂
As someone mentioned earlier I too was wondering where the title was leading; lol.

I went to bed at the end of the third quarter. Boy, do I wish I had stayed up. I’m not a Clemson fan, but Va Tech is in the ACC. I had to cheer for them. (It was hard.) I remember the Lane Kiffin debacle at Tennessee, too.
I love seeing your outfits and want to see this one with navy leggings. A do-over!

This is so fun!! I have 2 similar cut tunics. I may wear one this week! Thanks for the inspiration. I really loved your look yesterday. That poncho. Seriously gorgeous.

How about that game?!?!?! I was a nervous wreck in the 4th quarter! I was rooting for Clemson. We lived in Alabama for 4 years in the 90s due to my husband’s job. Alabama fans are just so obnoxious. LOL (Our Mobile, AL pastor’s wife was president of the international alumni association for Alabama at the time. She’s actually quite lovely.)

I think your look is fun, but I agree that jeans or navy leggings would look great with that top. I LOVE that top! It just says happy! Plus it can be worn all seasons!

I actually think the punch of color in the leggings is fun and unexpected and makes your whole look brighter. I personally would stick to navy only because I try to downplay the size of my legs! But the bright color looks look great on you!

I like the pop of color of the leggings. And that top is one I could have in my closet! Great fun look for a dreary January day.

Love the top but not a fan of those leggings. Any idea where I can find that top on line? So glad Clemson won. I am an Ohio State Fan so very glad Clemson came thru.

OK, this is not the kind of outfit I would even have dreamed of wearing, but I have to say it looks good on you, Tania!!!!!! (have you got any outfits that DON’T look good on you????? honestly …i don’t think so!!!!!!) I love to sometimes go for combinations that are away from the every day and might have people look in surprise and then have a second look!!!!! For an outfit to work I think it’s got a lot to do with the self confidence you have and how you feel when wearing in!!!!! (…making sense???? …hope so!!!!) If you don’t feel go in it, it’s not going to work!!!!! I was looking at the multi coloured top and trying to picture myself in it …I think I would look terrible in it, but then maybe on a day that I’m really feeling on top of the world, it might just work and I would enjoy wearing it!!!!! And …I love the leggings …yes, I do!!!! And I agree that the top would work wonderfully with a pair of jeans or navy leggings!!!!! The boots are just perfect and I love the bag (we use the term handbag over here)!!!! So there you have it Tania …I actually do like Donald Duck!!!!! …wish I could come over and borrow this outfit for a day!!!! LOL!!!!! …think I would have some of my friends speechless!!!!! I need some multi coloured tops like this one – I’m so bored with my plain tops (… and the majority of them are black and white!!!!! …think I need to go shopping tomorrow!!!! …but what’s the chances that I would find anything of the sort in George!!!!! LOL!!!!!) …will have to wear a black and white outfit tomorrow!!!! LOL!!!!!
    Have a super day, Tania!!!!

I LOVE it! I’m very into LuLaRoe clothing currently, and that is what your leggings remind me of! I have a similar pair, in LLR they are sometimes called “Macaroni and Cheese” colored! 😊 If you haven’t tried LLR, you should! Would love to see you model some….I’ll warn you, it’s addicting!
